Hi everyone!!!!!
My name is Daniel Villanueva and I live in Spain.
Im 19 now.
My musical career started in the early 2001 when I discovered a program called Impulse tracker where people managed to compose their own tracks. By that year i had many free time so i spent part of it trying to learn the skills and the secrets of my new jewel.....I would compose more that 200 tracks in impulse tracker in 2 years. Then I saw that professional musicians were using other programs instead of trackers to create their music such as Cubase, Reason or FL Studio, so in june 2003 I decided to move on and do the next step: jumping from trackers to sequencers. The jump was quite slow and after trying Reason at first i decided to leave sequencers and go back with my precious Impulse tracker MS-Dos love.
This desition was surely wrong and after some months i saw that my skills needed a program with more options, quality and other operating system than the ones i was running at that moment so after this reflexion the only program I knew with this characteristics was Reason 2.5. So then i abbandoned Impulse tracker forever and move to Reason 2.5. I thought that I will spend 3 more years learning the secrets of RSN world but my surprise came when after 2 months I got one decent track done that sounded much better than the ones i was composing in Impulse lately. My decision was to push up for Reason. I knew in march 2004 the existence of a web called CTGMUSIC were people were adviced and reviewed for their music. I thought that it woul be a fantastic idea to be a part of that community and contact people like me with the same aims and wishes. I work hard in my first Reason tracks because I wanted to have a bit of level in my productions of CTG. I uploaded my first tracks there in summer 2004. I knew that they were not specially good among others but i had illusion and dreamed every day with becoming a professional producer. After 3 months....I released Another Way, my first decent production. This track reached the number 1 song chart for 12 times and was one of the best tracks of the year 2004 as its in the top 10 tracks of this year as a new artist. I was supperhappy and i decided to make a new track and uploaded it again to CTG. People reviewed my tracks and made comments. I suck all the information and advices and i experimented in the tracks what people said and they were right. All their advices served to me. In November 2004 Alone was released and was again 12 days in number 1, being in the top 5 of the 2004 year. I was very happy and I went on with my productions. I tried also the house style and I released Outcast and some others but my real inspiration is trance music.
In 2005 I moved from Reason to FL Studio to use the best plugins ever created: VSTi.
Nowadays im producing tracks and trying to get some deals with labels around the world.I have sent many tracks to the most well-known labels as Armada, BlackHole, Anjunabeats or Somatic Sense...but they have refused all my tracks at least saying that they were interested in me,so this is a point. So i will send more tracks to labels to get some stuff signed... The tracks that I make just for fun or not that seriously or even the ones that after many times end up without a label....are the ones without copyrights so I upload them here to CTG so that everybody can listen to them and could give me advices.
I like to receive any kind of advice either ptofessional or not.I love to hear the exact frecuency range where my waves are overcompressed but also one little boy saying that my music is rubbish...for me the most important thing is to be sincere with opinions and respet the music of everybody.
Well so this is me basically...a man who is now producing to get something signed as many others but that has a time to upload new tracks and previews to CTG from while to while
I'm still not a professional producer....but one day...one day...
