 CTG Music Newsletter 4th June 2004 |

CTG seemed to be a bit sleepy during May: not many new updates have come and also the activity was not the highest one. Though it is nice to see that the number of new members is nicely growing: hopefully they will also start adding new songs.
In May we again released 2 official CTG mixes: the usual Trance one and the additional CTG House mix which is a collection of the best house songs released on CTG.
Our most active tutorials writer - RAVE-n took his time and wrote a very nice tutorial about freeware VST effects, where you can read which ones are recommended and how can they be used.
Since the summer is closer everyday the activity will most likely drop a bit more for the upcoming months but there are some plans to keep the site interesting also during summer.
So stay in touch, do some reviews, release a song or 2 and make sure you don’t spend too much time outside on sun since it is not suppose to be healthy anymore.
Bye until next month,
- CTG administration |

Tutorial: Freeware VST FX guide |

Here is a list of some basic freeware VST FX you would need to get things started. There aren't any exotic fx here which only their author know what they actually do, I only listed things which most of us are already familiar with. As a starting point, however, was to find quality (no synthedit stuff here) basic freeware effects that would replace those, in my case, in reason.

 CTG House Mix |

After the Chillout Mix we release yet another special mix. This time it is CTG House Mix, which is a mixture of the best house tunes released on CTG during 2003 and 2004.
Yet again the mix was done by our most active mixes contributor - AKiSeY and once more he put lots of effort into it, also by making his very own intro part.
The mix (128kbs mp3) is very groovy and melodic, it contains 12 of the best CTG house songs and it is exclusively available for all the registered CTG members.

CTG Trance Mix - Volume: April 04 |

This month we are a bit early with our monthly mix and we will try keeping it this way in upcomming months as well.
The mix was done by JukkaM, for who this was the first tryout in doing CTG mix but by the quality he produced, im sure that people will like to see him doing it again in future.
Yet again the mix (128kbs mp3) is very melodic, containing 10 of the best trance songs released during April and it is exclusively available for all the registered CTG members.
