Very nice bass.In the background, a super string .Inserts percussion , very nice. The climate is so what I like and I'm curls .Great atmosphere , expressive sounds.Everything worked out quite nicely and I love it .Actually, I would not change anything , except for those short , in my opinion too short snippets snare .I gave them a little longer, or more in key parts of the song. After that, a really great composition , I love it . Overall, I can hardly review the work , after the first hearing , because I know from experience that if something like the first interview , after a few - have become boring .I wonder if I get tired of your composition ?Best regards and I look forward to more ...
Abdelmoumen - Melting Heart

Initial response: 80s epicness

Bass: I thought you had a nice contrast between synth bass and the slappy funk bass

Feeling: This track has a feel good feeling to it. It'd make good walking music. I really like that melodic statement at around 1:07. I'd play with that a bit more later in the track. (I like that you do that to a degree at 3 minutes)

Mix: Feels very full, but the elements could use a tad bit more eq cutting/tweaking to give separate spaces in the mix just for a bit of clarity, but this is in no way a serious issue.

Structure: This is probably the weakest part. I don't really see where the track is going, even within the track itself. Things lead into each other and seem to repeat itself in certain parts. You could play with percussive elements to transition from sections and bring and take away energy to specifically emphasize the emotional quality.

Overall: I feel like this track has good melodic themes, and overall has some really good elements, but I feel like with the structure it's in, it's a bit hard for it to shine and for people to keep attention. This might sound a bit harsh, but I'm only saying this because I can hear the potential in this track. Maybe thinking about something like an A B A B C A kind of structure, having the sections contrast a bit more in some ways, and using percussive elements and short melodic changes to switch between the various sections could help.

Good work so far. :)
Zil - Stardust
(8.5) Membercyanghost109 05 Mar. 5:23
Greetings Zil!

The song starts off rather simple with a bass filled beat that really gives some good impressions as a start. Some mildly dubby sounds come in to add some kick to it. It progresses nicely. At the first breakdown, the melody changes rather randomly but frick, I like variety! The changes are nice and add that Progressive tone that I enjoy.

You incorporate these sounds as you bring back the beat. So far, the song is sounding rather simple and chill, but it's flowing very nicely! The sounds do sound somewhat "all over the place". They don't really fit the flow of the beat too well, but they don't throw it off too far.

The rest of the song from hereon out is much the same. I don't notice any major changes in the melody. The outro was well constructed and left some good impressions. I was definitely impressed! Overall, the atmosphere of this track was great! The bassline was also well constructed and fit the beat perfectly. Aside from some minor tone issues with the melody and the beat, this track gives a warm, dubby vibe that I personally really enjoy in Progressive House/Trance music.
Xcone - Glorious
(9.5) ArtistZil 05 Mar. 2:33
FIRSTLY: I recommend people to give this one a listen! Underexposure on this track. :)

Arrangement: Great transitioning from various motifs, and changing of moods. This track felt very story like in that way. I liked the starry feeling of that break.

Feeling: Overall, it is super epic, very Lord of the Rings in many ways. I'm not sure if I liked that note at 3:50 (which was my one complaint), but I wondered if you wanted that jarring dissonance for that emotional response, which if that were the case, then well done. It worked.

Sounds: I loved the choirs, and the epic flute that starts playing around 1:30. Most of the sounds are pretty generic to the genre, but you used great layering, and I appreciated the overall mixture of everything. I liked how you created rhythm with that bouncy electronic bass. I liked how various songs were playing with the stereo field.

Quality: Great sound quality. No complaints from here.

Overall: Brilliant! Seriously. I wasn't bored for a stitch during the track.

For someone shy of creating tracks without a beat, I think you should do it again ;)
SteenRNS - The Diamond Hammer
(6) ArtistZil 05 Mar. 2:08
Arrangement: The transition at 3:18 was a bit too sudden, as was 3:38. Try to automate a bit more, and think about transitional motifs or percussive patterns to bring sections in and out. Some of the transitions felt pretty random.

Bass: This bass sound and pattern is pretty typical trance.

Beat: I didn't like the drumroll at 1:40. I did like that hat sound you had over the kick, but I felt like some places could have done well for a bit more stereo percussion. I think the hats coming in 2:38 don't seem to be sitting where it should be in the mix, and they felt a bit sharp...maybe could use some bandpass.

Creativity: This is what I thought was lacking in the sense that it feels still like 2000 era trance which was 10 years ago. I love oldschool trance though, don't get me wrong, but I feel like even if you were making modern electronica, being too generic is something to avoid. You want to have flavors that are distinct so that people will remember the track.

Synths: I wasn't really partial to the mid synth right above the bass, but that may have been personal preference. I really liked the vocal pad and the arps were pretty, but most of the sounds were pretty generic.

Feeling & Melody: This is probably a stronger part, as far as feeling goes. Though not for that first minute or so. The chord progressions really helped with that, though the actual melodies felt like something I had heard before. I liked that horn coming in at 2:26.

Samples: I liked that intro fx a lot. Some more stereo percussion in the song could definitely build intrigue.

Over all: I liked the middle of the track the best, but it felt a bit to generic as a whole. I don't like giving harsh reviews, but those are what always helped me the most, and I hope you don't take it that way. I think if you were to build on a track like this and spend a little more time with the arrangement, automation, transitioning elements, and a bit more flare elements for distinct flavor, that you could have something really good on your hands.

The intro is softly done with some nice, calming dubby effects. The progression drags slowly with minimal, but ongoing changes to keep it exciting. ;)

The overall atmosphere of this one allows my mind to freeflow with no limits! The beat is somewhat slow and not too intriguing for my adrenaline-ic tastes. It does continue to drag fairly repetitively but I continue to dig the dark, calming spot this track puts my mind in. Not too complex, very simple. The ending slowly comes about without rushing. You seemed to put some well-thought thoughts in the ending.

To conclude, this will definitely be saved on my computer for future listening! With the dark, gleaming flow this track gives, it's definitely worth more than a few listens!

Hi DaRkXRiDeR, (hope your password is easier to remember for you ;) )

Ok let's see what we have here.
A very short one .. why is that if i may ask ? I will get back on that.

And that is now .. lol .. what i notice is that you have thrown in many elementsinstruments vocals but as a whole it does not seem very coherent.
Some i like .. especially the string at 40 sec.... imo you should have made more use of that sound, sounds just lovely.

But i just cannot get over how this song starts as a very happy sounding house track, with a quite ok beat, and it just goes from sound to sound from there on. And the inevitable WOB WOB WOB .... ok i am no fan of dubstep but i do know it does not fit in here at all .. not even one bit. And after the wob wob it just cuts off ? That really does bother me.

The ultimate society vocal sounds annoying to me. I just wanted it to go away.
Also the overall mix loud and i can just hear some sounds hitting what sounds like a limiter.

My conclusion : Nice ideas and even some nice sounds, but the strange arangement and overall messyness of what i hear really bring my rating down.
And the end cutting of like that also is a deciding factor.

Hope you do not mind my honesty.. i try do do it as fair as possible.
And the reviewer before me just put a few sentences down, even complains about distortion and still gives this a 9 wich is nearly perfect .....
And i am sorry but this track is just not.

Hello EternA,

Lovely track you have here ! Rolls along so well.
The intro is well done and pleasant to listen to. Deep and mysterious with a faboulous groove. This is so spot on !
I am listening to it with my studio headphones, and it is such a joy to my ears :hail:
the overall mix is just very good. The bass really has presence but it does not flood the rest of the track.
All the other things, mostly percussion, are very clear in sound aswell.

Played the track several times now and time just flies when i listen to it.
Enjoy the little breaks you put in here and there. I am not the kind of person that expects a major shift in arrangement in these kind of tracks. Too bad only a few can appreciate music like this .. most people that listen would ask where is the melody ? ;)

All in all, just really nice music and to anyone that reads this, please download this track it is worth it.

My conclusion : i prefer to stay modest in reviews, but i just cannot deny that this track rocks my socks off ...
Storm 3003 - Just Some Beats
(7.5) ArtistMariana Trench 01 Feb. 10:20
Hi Storm 3003 !

I like to watch these kind of video's , hardware is just a lot of fun

At the start i did not quite know in what direction you would go. House or Techno or house with a tech sound ...
Personallty i would not have used the ride in the beginning. To me it does not right, it does later on however when there are more sounds going on.

I like the synth starting after one minute. When the open hat comes in it is a really nice groove.

Must also say that everything sounds clear enough, well mixed.
It is not so easy reviewing this track, don't want to analyze it bit for bit. Also do not think you would have liked that on this track :)

I just appreciate this little live track, enjoyed listening and looking to it.
Mariana Trench - Untitled

Greetings Mariana Trench!

Hmm, very chill from the start! I notice some great tribal elements of House here. The build up is definitely a little to slow and soft for my taste. I notice that the same loops seem to go on and the song is rather empty, but chill.

The background vocals add a little bit to this, though you can definitely tell they're there to give this some extra kick. The song breaks and the vocals keep going, but it's basically the same thing as before but without a beat.

You start the beat back up and it's back to the same thing before. You should have tried changing up the bassline or adding more sounds to keep it chill yet more intriguing.

So, altogether this track is very chill and relaxing. However, it's no the most exciting. While I found it very enjoyable for the first few minutes, it began to drag on and on.

Wow this is great.
I like the dark feeling.
That's very good for a horror movie or something.
I also like the snare or actually the beat in general.
It's quite heavy.
Dunno how you did it, but when everything plays together it has a slightly touch of an 80's Rock/Pop song.
Also good idea to make rather calm parts and then kick in the full energy.
I'd say this is anti-depression music (an insider of me).
When you have problems with love, listen to this music^^
Dunno if this site helps you very much now, but I'll give you a 9.5 and hope that it puts you on #1 in the charts :)
Coone ft. Scope DJ - Traveling (Equalizer Remix)
(9) ArtistNandoo Messany 06 Jan. 20:05
Nice pad in the beginning.
And then come the angelic vocals <3
Good idea to put the hihats a little bit in the background.
The lead is good although I personally tend to use square waves these days.
Also good work on the effects.
The kick has low distortion, but it should be quite danceable.
Actually I can imagine it in a club.
And then some kind of a break down with the vocals again to make it a bit more interesting and the climax comes back :)
Didn't listen to the original to be honest, but the remix is quite good.
The sound quality could be slightly better, but it shouldn't be anything that can't be fixed with more mastering.
DaRkXRiDeR - Party Technology
(9.5) ArtistNandoo Messany 06 Jan. 18:49
I am proud to have this on Messany Recordings :)
That sounds quite good.
The beat sounds like calmer Dubstep for a change.
You also have some effects to give the song more variations.
That should keep the attention of the listeners.
And for the case they still get bored after 2 minutes the song is only 2 minutes 30.
As always you have nice vox sounds.
It's a good idea until you have found a real singer.
Besides that I can't say much about the song.
Let's give other people a chance to hear it and give feedback.
I'll give you 9.5 points for that.
EternA - Pillage
(9) Membercyanghost109 29 Dec. 7:10
Greetings EternA!

The intro is a little slim as there is no actual introduction present. It begins with a beat and the song slowly begins to progress. One thing I have to mention is the bass! Wow! It's pumping pretty damn hard and I'm impressed! The song builds up with some minimal techno sounds and they keep a dark atmosphere that I really like.

For a minimal Techno track, I don't expect constant changes in the melody but to be honest, this does get mildly tiring after a while. When the breakdown occurs, it sounds like the song is ready to take a new leap forward and continue progressing to a new sound, but instead we leap back in time and continue going on.

I really can't get over the awesome, dark atmosphere! Just great sounding stuff here! Some rather creepy and dark vocals come in. You can't understand them, so I'm assuming they're just their for show. After that, a clap sound comes in and we still see no major changes. But, I'm okay with that!

The outro ends the same way the song started. It maintained its awesome beat along with some dark, catchy elements. I really enjoyed this one!

Hey...! :)

Heres my review for this track :)

The intro is good great fx and easy to mix with another track :) but it seems to bring into the good part to quickly? maybe a longer build would help drag that out? :) overall still great work

the drop is awesome !! that lead is just sick man! :) melody is great can really move to it !

The kick is nice and punchy which is great but try and bring a little more sub bass into the drop like in between the kick if you know what i mean its hard to describe it? (not to much sub dont over do it, it still sounded great man)

Overall man this is a great track :) mastering seems good in my ears so i like it..! :)

Great work man keep me in touch of your new tracks and i'll check them out! :) Cya..!! 9..

The beat sounds quite good.
I like the kick with the deep sub.
The clap is also fine.
The hihats are a little bit strange.
The robotic vocals were a nice idea for sure.
I also like the Dubstep wobble.
You have good structure with some variations, but I didn't like that the song stopped all of a sudden.
And I am not sure which instrument you used quite at the beginning which sounds a bit like an opening door which needs more oil lolz, but it some kinda disturbed in my opinion.
Anyways I'll give you a 9 for that.
Let's see what other people say.
bert1801 - Lamentation Nepal
(7.5) ArtistFrank-No-More 29 Sep. 20:13
One minute and thirty seconds into the song I can already tell it's going to be powerful. Emtionally charged. The initial swell into the vocals gave me goosebumps. The synth guitar in the background is a very nice touch. Genre buster. Well blended. Excellent meditational track, centers the listener with a sleek, dreamy quality.

First time through I am very impressed again with the quality of the melodies, arrangement and feel of the song. It's good to see, from what I have explored of your past work this ranks up there with the rest of your collection. Yo!!

The structure of the vocals being layered in multiple melodies is first rate. The imagery painted is sooooo... Nepalese, extremely soothing to the ears. A 32 measure loop of song birds mixed in with rain or ocean sounds is the only suggestion I can come up with the expand on the ear painting you have again created. Very nice job bro.

Your a talented ambient composer and I would love sometime to re-mix something like this, take it to a club level. You got a great ear for melody. Sound quality of the parts and phrases mix seamlessly in all the tracks I have listened to and put on my hard drive. Please as a service to us all keep 'em coming.

All the best again, tunes like this brighten my day. Restless souls like myself need centering at times.

See ya 'round....

SteenRNS - Storms and Lucidity
(7.5) ArtistFrank-No-More 29 Sep. 15:22
Hello SteenRNS,

The first 50 seconds of the song establish a unique canvas for the listener right off the bat. Then you take a right turn cutting the tempo in half and adding the booming bass beat. Nice effect transitioning from the sfx laden opening.

Overall, having a series of movements keeps the song from getting too predictable. The main chorus could use a little more variation as the song progresses and develops. But that is nothing different from what I hear from so many signed artists out there. Production value is very good. No difference from "for pay" artists. Professional sound. Highly commendable.

Would like to hear the opening loops be re-introduced later in the song or at the end to tie the whole phrase string together. This is because the opening is quite interesting or maybe it just doesn't fit with the rest of the song because of the dreamy parts. Otherwise it's mixed very well. Transitions into the parts blend well. Drums and more beat development could add more punch along the way. My opinion of course.

You are on the right track as an artist with this and wish you all the best. Keep it up.

My regards... Frank-No-More...

EternA - Shock
(7.5) ArtistFrank-No-More 22 Sep. 21:01
Initial beat is quite groovy to start with and then the ramp into the meat of the song is a good start. Interesting arpeggiated keyboard pluck/riff part minus the drum track. The detuning in and out sounds very trippy.

The creativity and arrangement are very good but as I sit i'm awaiting for it to kick up a notch. Good zoning song, as an album track. Nice floating atmosphere in this track. Definately well produced, sound separation has no flaws. Mixed very well. Just a little long in the development, as stated earlier, I was waiting for something.

Overall, the technical aspects of this piece are the saving grace, and it would make a great album track. Perhaps a more developed drum track later in the song could juice it up to floor filler material. It is very smooth as it is but that notch kicker might be an easy fix with a little groove variation . Plus, followed by another evolved bass melody or more jumpier bass melody, probably wouldn't hurt after the main break. This is just me trying to offer some unconcerning advice and I'm in no way suggesting I know any better. It is a fine song, as usual, and I'm grateful to be allowed to be of any assistance. It's on my hard drive ;)

See ya 'round....

Vesbazz - Stuffed Ghosts
(8) Membercyanghost109 22 Sep. 16:53
Greetings Vesbazz!

Am I at a funeral? Seriously, the loud samples in the beginning reminded of a funeral. The drop is really nice as it warped nicely. Okay, here's the problem though.... We are using at typical, overused dancepop beat.

Even the sounds are rather cliche and annoys the crap out of me. At the first breakdown, the buildup on that piece was really nice! One thing that sounds nice about this is that it isn't all handz up and happy! It's got some progressive, darker house to it.

The progressions is also very nice. Instead of keeping the same song looping over and over again, the song's melody changes up fairly well throughout the song. As I listen on, the song does seem to lighten up. I wish you would keep it a little darker, but that's just what I personally prefer.

The outro sounds nice as you end it nicely with a fairly atmospheric sound. Overall, this one was worth listening to. The beat and maybe the melody, in some parts, were a bit too cliche with some of the typically used House methods. Other than that, this was definitely worth a listen!
SteenRNS - Conflicting emotions
(8) ArtistFrank-No-More 20 Sep. 1:49
Yeah dude this is good stuff. The multiple movements are various and striking. The main riff through the song (the hard-ripping part) is sweet and leaves ya wanting more. So far it's an uplifting and unusual song but not scattered as the experimental tag would suggest. Again the bass ripping part makes the tune. Nicely surrounded by the soaring piano and synth string melodies. String break is soothing and a nice touch. It flows well into the breakbeat. Then the bass rip comes back and you intertwine that with the piano. Good form.

Sorry but there is no element here that hits me the wrong way. It's a well produced and, like I said before, interesting piece. The scratch sfx with what sounds like a reverse effect on the back spin of the scratch sound is cool and fits the transition well. The orchestration of the piece is up there. Good use of different patch sounds old and new, a special blend. Drums are a mix of flat sounding quieter parts and heart thumpers. Me likey the variation.

I am sorry but as stated earlier I can't find anything out of place. The whole tune is pleasant and hard driving at the same time. Just at different times of the song. Then by blending it all together shows some very good skill in recognizing the electronica feel. Tight production and creativity are highly commendable. I enjoyed this alot. Ya get an 8 from me. Supurb album track, or to use the old school lingo, B-side. Hold onto this.

See ya 'round....

Dominik von Francois - Within a Dream
(8) ArtistFrank-No-More 18 Sep. 1:57
What is that?... A 64 measure piano melody. Holy cow that's a long riff. I'd lose myself recording that. It's sweet and makes the song. It takes the possible repeatative nature of the genre out, and makes the melody flow elegantly; with the true piano echo and long decay gate on it. Like it.

In the beginning you have the low volume heart beat thump on some of the up-beats before the kick comes in. Good form. I can hear it remain and sustain thru the first verse and the shuffle it creates is very pleasant to listen to. Good orchestration, brings a needed sense of beat development far above the usual set 4-4 kick. Arrangement is top notch for the genre.

I'm a big fan of chill out and this an excellent example. If ya ask me the record label you signed with, missed out. I'd be curious to hear the other tracks chosen. If I were in a position to sit on a calm beach prior to sundown with my arms in a V, staring at a sea, this is the type of track that captures such imagery. Yeah, it's kinda textbook but as I stated before the long rolling and developing melody breaks that barrier. Average listeners might just not get it.

I think the track soars and is wonderfully produced. The sfx, in reference to the synth wind and the echoing guitar pluck really strengthens the songs feeling. Again, elegant melody. I tip my hat to you. Technically, a fine production all round. Superb sound quality and separation of sounds. The only area I didn't hear much development is in the drum track. Current track may be a little flat for the floor, but don't quote me on that because I haven't played it at club levels yet...
Good job.

(9.5) Membercyanghost109 17 Sep. 22:03
Greetings caeiten!

What a nice introduction here! The beat is partially in and it slowly builds up. As soon as it drops, everything is in action! The bass is pumping and I'm having some serious urges to dance!

The buildup is slow and nicely done. The main sound has some nice in and out changes. There's been a lot of changes here since the first version. I hadn't released that until the first breakdown. The breakdown sounds much the same. We have the piano and it does progress a little.

Yup! The breakdown is exactly the same. Completely untouched! I did mention that it sounds flawless in my previous review, some I'm glad you kept it untouched. The build up is nicely done -- nearly perfect. The darker side of the atmosphere is unfortunately nearly gone. I wish you would've added that to be a bigger part of this track...

As the outro comes in, everything does sound much the same as the last version. I could be mistaken. It's nicely done. Nothing goes out instantly. You instead break it down piece by piece and I truly appreciate that!

Overall, this is a damn solid production! Everything from the danceable beat to the fairly energetic melody itself made this enjoyable! Some only complaints are maybe the mildly too dreamy piano, but I'm sure that plays in to the remix and the fact that it's uplifting Trance.
The Fusionest - Fallout
(9.5) Membercaeiten 16 Sep. 11:58
Hi The Fusionest,

Now this is finally a great dubstep song on CTG - in fact, it's the best dupstep song I've heard on here since I joined.

It starts off with a happy-go-lucky melody without drums and elemets are slowly faded in. Then the kick is brought to light, where I believe at the beginning its sub bass tail should be cut, just to bring out the main part much better in later of the song.

This song is filled with interesting sequences and it just sounds fresh and alive. It's really some world class production in terms of dubstep. All the coarse wobble bass elements are unique - each of them, and I counted almost 5 different ones, that swept through my headphones.

The amount of detail is simply astonishing and the creativity and effort spend on this song is a lot. This song should be out there with the best, on beatport !
DJ Smaxa - The Rising Sun
(8.5) Membercyanghost109 16 Sep. 3:43
Ok, here's that review you kindfully requested!

The intro has a pretty chill effect to get the listener interested. The quickly progresses and a beat comes in. Nice job mixing in that beat with the melody. The wobble effect comes in as I expected in a dubstep song.

As I'm listening, I believe there was too much emphasis put on the wobble and not the melody itself. The song quits for a second and nothing new happens except for a few melody changes. Nothing too serious, but I have to give you props for adding some variation in there! :D

Towards the end, the beat quits breaking, and goes to doing a full dance beat. Really adds groove to the song as a whole. Some cool effects are added in the outro to leave some good overall impressions.

Overall, this was a quick, non-cliched track. I think a little too much emphasis was put on the wobble effect and not so much on the melody. There were some interesting changes here and there, but the song did get a little repetitive after some time.
