Nature 2006.
Since a long time without releasing a track in CTG, in february 2006 i decided to upload some of my music here as many people tell me that they were waiting for some new stuff. Well so this is what i can upload after one year 
I have many more projects but im still dealing to get some signed material.
This track is for all of you that like the good uplifting melodies with quite complex atmospheres and rhytms as I usually like doing.
well I hope sincerelly that you like it and if you can please leave a comment or (better) a review!!!  .

this is prety good. however its sounding kind of dated for today. i notice some really good riffs here and there. i think you need to keep a ongoing beat going but thats just me imo.
i look at this music as a peice of professionly released trance for today but its not. it released in 2006 and sounds pretty dated in terms of sounds etc. however their still good .yuo should also try to bring the mood up a little. it sounds some what boring after a little while but what can you expect for a seven minute track?
so yeah this sounds good ,add some more sounds and try arranging the beat a little .it gets boring after some time but is still good.  |

I all for the Hard/Epic trance, as I make it myself. Good job on the break. Sounds good, but here comes the evil in me ;-)
The track sounds really good at times and cheesy at others. For instance, when the break comes in, using the breakbeat to lead up to the main buildup seemed too cliche and I didn't like it too much. The trancegate melody was a bit too standard and hidden in the mix. The track overall lacks mastering and mixing, as well as presence. Because of this it makes it a bit redundant at times. I would try to bring out some parts and make everything "or most of the important parts" more apparent and PLEASE make the bassline a tad punchier. Too laid back.
Overall its a pretty good melodic track, but there is nothing that grabs me by the collar and punches me in the face. I need a punch in the face to spice up life. Also, try not to use Vengeance Essencial Clubsounds for every effects. I use it to but atleast modify the samples before you use them ;-)
Overall? 8/10

Hi! I must admit that when I listened it first time it seemed to be like next trance track, a little boring, not much interesting for me. But when I watched on the title, connected it with this great pad (starting at 1:23) and when I went deep into that... oh... It makes my flesh creep man! Why people destroy nature?
All sounds are interesting, especially bass and pad. There is so much space, so many chilling sensations... Technically is good too. Great passage with panning hihats (2:18), i liked it much. Melody lead could be louder and more developed. You skillfully build the climate - that`s why I listen it 20th time and it is still fresh.
In minuses it could be more developed (drums, melody), a bit, but it`s ok. It`s great track without it, for sure.

Start doesn't impress me even the sounds seem to be good quality. Works much better when bassdrum gets on. Maybe the bassline has a bit too much of some frequencies, seems to "jump over" at some points, but that's no big deal after all. First 2:30 is a bit boring section, but break sure has some nice sounding pads and leads.
Drums section goes well without much complaints. It's good that this track has plenty of drum sounds so at least you can't complain that something is too simple. Bassdrum has a nice EQ, this is one of the best sounds in this song. Mixing is good in drums section.
Overall mixing isn't so good. There's something in this track which makes bass frequencies to bounce too high. Also the mixing is a bit messy when looking all the sections at the same time. But still it has a nice atmosphere though. This isn't quite what I could expect from a track in the first place, but anyway, if it's there then it surely deserves it. Not going to my favourites, but a nice track anyway which I maybe listen more once in a while.

Jeah! starts with a good breakbeat, makes me want to dance!  when the breakbeat stops and the song starts it's kind of boring for a second  then starts the pad wich is ok, not so good but ok..
Now, the chorus starts!  it's good.. the song itself isn't so amazing for me.. but it's good and professional

yep , nice drums @ beginning . i like . so far , nice quality also . i ' d say bass is a too pad - a - like , because notes are long and stuff . i would ' ve use punching , shorter notes and different filter envelope there , but it ' s those taste things , so i can ' t judge it wrong and i wouldn ' t no matter what . 1st break . hmm , smooth transition . nice ! again those nice drums , i like . synth is not my cup of tea , it ' s imo too thin and line of it ain ' t 4 me , but i ' m sure ppl here like it ! then outro , which rolls nice and smooth . the end . let ' s check back things i like and dislike .

Hello Proteo. This is the first time i listen to one of your tracks, and i was really, really impressed. That intro has got to be the coolest intro i have heared in a long time! I love that breakbeat so much, that i think you could easily make a breakbeat version of this track. Sounds like a crystal method track! anyways, the trance kick is equally good, and has good power to it. excellent drumwork here.
the pads are very euphoric, and are a good transition to the killer beats you have here. The main melody is simple and melancholic, which is always a good thing. the synths you chose sound very good and proffessional, good job!
-------------QUALITY-----------------
Everything sounds very good over the speakers. through the headphones, maybe the higher frequencies could be toned down a bit? I seem to lose the bass when the main pads/melodies are playing... but that is just my opinion. anyways, good production and quality here. I am being technical here cause i am reviewing. the track is still immensely enjoyable.

Very driving, atmospheric, euphoric trance piece you have here. I like it a lot. The main melody is just enough synth, i dont think that it is cheesy at all, which happens to most trance songs. Mad props on that breakbeat in the beginning, very awesome sounding. Overall, a great great song! Congratulations and keep it coming!

Well first I wanna say this isn't really my style anymore, but I'll review it not looking to that. So kicks off with tasty beats, this is one part whick works for me pretty well. That metallic snare there sounds really great. Bassline is something which isn't really that catchy, but still works pretty well there. The sound itself in bass isn't that good, so in my opinion there would have been some more original sounding bass and that bass is also quite unrecognizable when for example pads kick in, it totally disappears in the back at that point, so some work on bringing it up a bit. Pads sound good and works well in this track. The melody at 2:18 brings my mind that Armin's 24 tracks melody, quite similar to that, but this kind of melody isn't really that original, but sounds quite nice anyways. When pads kick in next time the sound is quite massive, which is good thing, but yet again there wasn't much originality in that one, but yet works well. This track is something, which some dj's who plays this kind of music would play. As you can there above my opinion in short is not very original, yet good. I think production wise it was done well too. I'll give you 9 and drop your rate  |

I must admit that when I first played this I began to worry that it would turn into typical techno drivel so common today. Y'know, get a bit going on a drum machine, throw in a few keyboard riffs, some ethearal cliches and call it trance.
But I gave it a chance (I'm listening to it again now  ). I see what all the fuss is about. Proteo obviously knows his game. Just when it seems as if he's about to let the music go nowhere he drops in a surprise or two.
The intro is a powerhouse of an opening with those clever-made breakbeats.
The epic in this song lies in the way it is layered and in the progression. Listen to it carefully and notice how the music follows a consistent rollercoaster approach. This kind of stucture is unique in that it takes the listener through musical highs and lows in such a way that it is completely hypnotic.
Sure you'll find tehno/trance here - the spooky keyboards (don’t get me wrong, ‘cause they surely made me get goosebumps! ), the obligatory optimistic sound - but Proteo made it work so that it doesn't sound like the big cheese that this genre has become (do whistles seem familiar?  ).
No, this is really good stuff! Maybe a title more provocative, one that would really sum this song up, would do good. However, this last comment is just a stubborn pain-in-the-dorsal-zone type, so just forget it!
“Nature” is absolute essential trance. Who can top this? (not me, for sure – I’m much better in comments than in producing music…  ) Like Gorillaz say: It’s dare!  |

I've listened your song and only can say wow!, I should make a review!! lol
Break in the begining is very innovative but need a bit of high freqs and bass is very nice!! but the best thing imo in the intro and break are the pads... perfect-maked mate!! awesome sound!
Try to make the break base more breaked when main melody rise... And put more hi freqs on the main melody. That's all I see you can change.. all the rest is just perfect, good melody, perfect strings and punch kick+bass!

Intro is very interesting with these breakbeats..
A Good bassline is composed..but it can be better if it was a continuous one.. ( i mean by that that for example, at 57 Sec, the bassline is like cutten, maybe adding a one more note will give a better result, i guess).
i really like the pads..excellent ones ! then a good melody appears..simple & soft
The breakdown is just awesome.. (good use of Vanguard pads  )..Excellent fade of the main melody..and it's just gr8! It makes the dancefloor shake !!

I'm listening your track... nice trance loop it feels really good and is well arranged with your hats. The bass is just superb.
Strings are really expanded what made the atmosphere powerful and misterious... nice idea to introduce a break for introducing the lead... That lead is ok
Mmmmm, you introduce now one gated string nice one, the uplifting part is ok, and the global sound production quality is really good, well mastered for sure.
What has impressed me more was the bassline and strings together with that lead sound. This is a very chill-melodic trance track. Really into my conception of Trance, I like it very much, it could be improved with some acids and more energetic fx's at backgrounds, and maybe with one arpeggio but, as it's, it's ok
Nice production, I hope to see more releases into this genre soon, keep your music up.

Well mate the track sounds great, i really enjoyed listening to it. here's a few comments:
Good:
- I like the way the composition is put together, it sounds very proffetional and i think you'd get a record deal for that.
- the sounds sound great to my ears, its very well mastered good stuff.
- its a good baseline, very groovy.
not so good:
-well, i think the whole track is a bit too wet... i would like for it to be a little bit more crisp and dryer. too much reverb
- it could hold some more elements somewhere in the middle, its a bit too repetitive.
- the ending is too abrupt maybe you could something about that.
overall the track is very good. Good job.

| Just wanted to see what the top of the chart track was about. First it is trance song. I'd like to mention I don't especially like trance except some older trance. I listened to the whole track though and it is a well produced well mastered boring and cliché (to me) trance tune. So if I had a note to give to it it would be 4/10 just because the thing don't speak to me, but trance lovers are going to love it anyways! |

I suppose that you have found something boring....I dont know exactly what, because your review is quite controversial and ambiguous. You are saying that something is bad but at the same time it's good and prefessional....I think that if you have done just 2 reviews you should read more from other people, for instance people that reviewed this track as Ianholing or sunburnt octopus....Well thanks for your review but next time try to give some advice apart from personal opinions. |
