As everybody can see, I entered rather productive peroid of my production work.... I decided to finish all those unfinished short clips that got on my HD from spring on...
and here is the NEWEST track from me...
Ride with the Dolphin ( Club Edit ) .
A nice uplifting track with an agressive intro, angelic melody lines that are assisted with piano and oboa and last but not least... a wicked breakbeat in the middle.
I know there are some things that could be better, but i'll stop and give this to you as it is...flawless I hope
For all you who don't want to DLL from soundclick... a happy news
I uploaded it also to MP3.com.au ... so watch out!
Have fun while listening and give it a little nice rewiev

With better melodies this could be even 8.....coz at first time heard the pad/string melody goes out of tune frequently. It's not the pitch/portamento only but also too loud delay. Reduce delay or portamento so the melody 'catches' itself. Now it sound like it's hunting that proper note but never reach it And second point is more technical, triol-bass playing low freq's needs (more) compression and volume reducement sounding now a bit 'bumsy' My subfoofer went mad and I had to close it
....aaaand the goood news, I like piano, even it sounds average. Feeling is something like 'we move all the time and we're moving FORWARD!! ' Second bassline is cool acid-a-like, you should play it louder and give kind of solo part for it. Choirs are cool too even a bit thin but stiull good, bringing soft feelings in. Opposite as others, snare's reverse reverd sounds cool, it's original and gives a nice spice for rhytm. If you lie trance, get it |

Great song! Great sound and everything, really nice quality on everything, man, i've got to get reasons now! As someone else said, the melody is a "typical" trance melody, try out to make other kind of melodies, and that would be just perfect |

Very good beginning, the bassline rulez. The incoming choirs are great. The synth is very original, and sounds absolutely amazing. The ambient part that follows has a great atmosphere(love the piano). The overall sounding of the song, is very good, it has a great atmosphere and a very good quality, the only think that lowers my rate is a kind of basic trance melody which is played by the synth. I don't say it's bad, well it fits great with the rest of the song, but I know you made far greater melodies in the past.
I think 8 is a fair rate for this very good and original (structure, samples) song. |

this rates are absolutely bull shit, 6 and 7 for this song, ah comon guys, some other crap songs have the same rates and they even cant be compared with thisone ! This is a beautiful song with much variations and pretty original composing. I dont understand how can somebody say that this song isnt original, pretty standard uhm ?!?!? Well it is very creative, just listen to this freakin basslines and the aweosme ambient part ow and also the amazing breka beat part with this awesome string lead and beautuful choirs just amaizing and all made with reason sound !!!! So this is not original, to be honest to make a such a good sound with reason is fucking difficult. So a big respect to RAVE-n !!!! Well i simply think that this song i really good, well the only thing that i dont like that much as the other stuff is the main melody synth, which plays with the ambient part, but all other things are fantastic for me, well i really enjoy listening listening to this song !!!! Great work RAVE-n Keep it going !!!!!! |

The intro is fine IMHO, the4 reverb in the clap has been mentioned but the rest works fine, nice kick and good bass line. I expected something more... "dreamy" when I read the title... that's what I got at 2:29. But I have to agree with Quartz76 there, it sounds like a totally new song starts. The climax could be more powerful, to me it doesn't feel like the synths go too well with the (beautiful) piano and oboe. Anyway, it still sounds good and I like the melodies and I got my "dreaminess" at last I always like when the key is changed within a song in the finale like you did at 7:36. You don't see that very often in trance songs.
Overall, despite the few points I mentioned, I enjoyed listening to the song and will definitely listen again and I'll check out your other songs since these guys said your other stuff was better... |

whoa talking about mad reverb on that snare thing... try lowering the reverb on that clap and using a fat analog compressor for a hard trance sounding clap..that arpeggiator that builds in about 1 minute is a bit cheesey... but the lead that comes in 1:30 is pretty cool yo The mixing isn't as good as the other Rave-N tracks I've heard.... nice piano melody, but the nonhappy to happy transition kinda scared me there Nice lead, but I was dissapointed when it got to the dancey part... that sine bass or whatever isn't driving enough to support it, IMO. The melody is pretty... it reminds me of a dream. The sounds like the growls could have been done better... I would have mixed a distorted square and distorted small LFO saw and did some filter growling with it. The breakbeat part rocks. Hmm, that pitch change was pretty lame... perhaps you could have done a transition to it, instead of just the pause.
overall, I enjoyed listening to this tune.. I loved the melody... and it's definately above average..I loved the breakbeats perhaps you could make the whole track breakbeat which I think it seems to sound better that way. |

Yeah indeed you are pretty productive the last period .
Well let's take a listen then .
Too bad you used such a reverb on the clap/snare , and so much on everything else in the beginning, at least I would use other settings on the reverb... now it takes away the "pro sound" in my taste , since some percussian , bassline and kick without reverb work nice , and give a more realistic sound (less blurry and more sharp). Anyway , maybe it is just a matter of taste (maybe, I guess not) .
I must say the synth in the begining to the break is pretty basic , and not very energic , it simply lacks power because of it's sound , but not only that ... it is very average ,.... I like the percusian u choosed .... reminds me more of your "old" work ... I am reffering to the speed of it , anyway , nice, I like that .
The piano is pretty happy , but also not very interesting .... or original ... just nice .
The main synth simply lacks power energy , creativity and originality .... it is so freakin' basic , I must have heard such stuff a thousands times before .... not that it is really bad ... but just a little bit more creative melodie or just something from yourself would do so much more.
I really miss some heavy fx in this track ..... just some nice parts with an fx build up , it will help getting the build up sound better ...
Anyway , after the break the song gets repetive in my opinion , there is nothing new introduced , and the beats are getting boring , and remain pretty powerless ..... this along with not the best sound I heard (especially from you) ,. the basic melodies , build up and originality , I think this one is just very very average ...... I really know you can do so much more and better ! |

I don't really like the start I think that reverse clap (or something ) is too loud and too panned but otherwise nice club start .
I don't usually like piano parts but this is sweet .
I liked when synth comes in in (is this "in in" part even possible in english ) piano part that bring some trance feeling .
All the way kinda nice track
