Artist Comment:
well, it`s a relaxing remix of Julie Moffitt`s sweet song, `Let Him Be`

just like lately, this song is a kind of cultural fusion, dizis meet armenian duduks while santoors give the instrumental backing over orchestral strings - hopefully done in a pleasing manner for everyone and you'll like this :coffee:

the song url is the vocal version, the alternative link is an instrumental one

Gorgeous start to this song, lovely sweeping pad and strange flute sample. This breas into some nice percussion under a massive classical synth and some vocals come in at 1 min approx.

This sounds really really good. Where the hell did you get those vocals, very nice sounding. Brilliant mastering on this track. Into the breakdown at 2:03. Nice piano. Vocals come back in, really really nice vocal placements and the lyrics are excellent.

Im starting to hear the basics for a true commercial release here, all very professional sounding. At 3:40 I cant wait for more vocals and here they come. A bit too low volume in the mix here, the song is drowning them out and they should really e the focal point of the mix.

At 4:30 you kinda tone things down nicely and I am loving this. All the sounds blend perfectly. At this stage you are expecting it all to come back with a big beat and the vocals but it doesnt happen ad leaves you kinda dissapointed.

In Summary this could be an amazing track, and not just amazing for CTG music but a real seller on the commercial scene. It needs to be tailored though. I suggest you go listen to the song Lamb - Gorecki and model this on its song structure. If you do that I have no doubt you could make a lot of money from this!!!. Would love to do a remix of this if your interested also!!.

My reviewing session ended and then I saw your useful comment in my Sakuhachi thread. Thanks for the help. Do not think that I try to return the favour by giving you high mark, actually a rarely give high marks to a song, but I think that previous reviewers wil agree with me here., this ia at least a very good song.

Sounds---> Excellent sounds here. The overblow did blow me away. The voice is spectacular etc. The mix though is not that good your violing are too high the rest of the intruments too low incuding the voice. However I must say the sonic character of your song did captivate me. Excellent flute sounds. I just cannot resist this temptation!

Aranngment ---> Very beautifully made, very good intrumentations. Everything blends toigether very well. No complain here

This is going to my favourite list not at the top but , non the less , to a respecatble place. 10 is all yours, but promise me you will fix the mix a bit.

Starts with a really nice sounding pad, reminding me a bit of Christopher Franke's softer compositions from Babylon 5.

Starts to grow its atmosphere really nicely. It does feel that the vocal track is a bit too low on volume, though. Also a bit more room with reverbation/delay would do it a great more justice since the track itself sounds really good.

The drum and percussion sounds are just excellent. The strings are really lively and overall the feeling in the song is just pleasant. The melodies are giving me a bit of retro tracker feel, which is never bad.

The mixing is soft and pleasant to the ears, but I think there's some imbalance between the different instruments, and the song leaves me with the thought that some instruments could have really been brought more forward to get the listener to really drown inside the otherwise excellent soundscape.

Very sweet song man, i love the intro part, the distorted flute in backround is very nice. The strings are cool and i like also this rythmics, is perfect for the style.

Nice voice and effects, this make the sound of the song more complete than other songs here of this style.

I like also the combination between strings and the soft piano in the breaks. Overall the structure of the song is simple but perfect for this kind of music.

Very relaxing track, nice mastering and good mix of elements, i recommended this song for who love this kind of music or not.

Good job!

thanks for the comment PartySan!

btw, the dizis ARE the flutes ;) the duduk is a woodwind instrument which has a very lovely sound and the santoor is a hammered dulcimer.

First of all: this is a great song.
Okay, then:

1. I love the intro chords.
2. The flute is excellent :)
3. I have no clue what dizis and duduks are. Or santoors.
4. The vocals are great but are used so sparsely the song could just well be instrumental entirely.
5. I was expecting the old seagull fx you (over)used in other songs for some reason. What a nice surprise that it doesn't appear :D
6. The lyrics are almost Radiohead-influenced
7. The ethnic percussion sounds live. Well done.
8. An "impossibly deep" bass tone is probably an okay idea ;)

That's all I thought about so far.

i changed the main url, now it should be okay (at least if ctg is online this song will be online too, just check the host ^_^). however, i had to move all my other songs to a new server where a download manager may proove to be handy.
ArtistPartySan [17th. September 5:54] [85.204.212.105]
Strangely, when I clicked on "save target as", it only downloaded 14 seconds :?:

Well, I'm using GetRight to download now and it works so far. Will comment on song itself later.
