I think that bass is kinda hollow, need some bang on it, some bass you know, now it lacks some balls when it's all alone. Clap there is pretty good, but it's bit too loud, at start it takes too much attention on itself. That wicked metallic kind of hat is pretty good, but the "main" hat there just don't stand up for it's good here. Bass kicks off pretty well and the line is nice, but what comes to sound there it's pretty basic and too loud and maybe some low end there too would do good. That first melody there is ok, nothing big, some wicked reverb or something to spice it up would be good, now it kinda just is there without any bigger meaning. Strings, the line and sound is nice, tho some not so natural sounding detuned sound stings to my ear there a little bit.. but that's just a small disturbion there, no big deal  . The piano is there pretty much just to fill some space there, to be honest I would drop it off or do it something, some 3 years ago I would have like it, but now it's just like eating 3 months ago expired bread or something  . The main melody is really great I love the sound and the line, without this melody there wouldn't have been anything so special to get me anymore excited of it than 98% of other trance tracks I hear from here these days. Then when the melody starts rocking, some friggin' too loud stupid sounding, stupid lining vanguard (pretty sure) melody kicks in ruining so nice melody.. at least lower the vol on that, not my thing. The ending there was little too fast, I think you would have keep the strings there and ditch the piano. And when the bass disappear it leaves too big hole there and we go back to that too loud clap and otherwise it misses something else too. And even with that you should have kept it going a bit longer anyway. The whole track is boosted too much and some of the sounds in this is a bit disbalanced. Also you could work on keeping the whole mix more "softer", you know, but those some loud sounds is probably the biggest thing to spike the whole thing up. Anyways pretty standup track to hear here, but still have some work to get it on bigger seas. Love the melody btw  . Keep on. |
