I never knew the name of this song from the 90's until now, I remember hearing it alot but never thinking much of it. Quirky in it's own way, like that "Milkshake" track, if ya know what I mean. Anyways, the beginning drags a bit with just the vocal track playing solo. Pitch sounds off compared to the original, as I remember it, but it matches the pitches of the instruments which, technically pulls it off. Still, a different key would, maybe, in my hears be a bit more soothing.
Bass parts come in and finally push the mix up a notch but remain virtually the same through the song. A slight change here and there with the bouncey nature of the bass track would be nice. A little drawn out after a while. I like the drum pattern, the break beat twist off sets the organ part nicely. Good use of silence to develop the bass drop in the middle. Again kicks it up a notch.
Just one more addition of accompanyment to the final verse, drums, bass, vocals; like a soaring 32 bar loop would definiately be a plus but, overall, for the genre stated, this is a good pumpin' jam to mix with in my eyes and ears.
