I like this! I like the original to.
This version sounds like pure dread in a good way.
It starts off with the Ave Maria theme, sounds like a voicecello or similar, beautifully placed in the mix.
Then the theme repeats itself until the very odd end.
The overall feeling is relaxing. I picture some poor lady singing alone
in this cruel world. Darkness surrounds her.
My wife liked this too, and i helped her get it on her Ipod.
You should be proud, shes a tough one when it comes to music.
The end is a bit sudden though, i wanted to hear more! |

Can this really be considered classical? I'd call it Ambient, but I suppose that depends on your perspective. This is a little slow and doesn't really feature much. It's cool though. It would go great as an intro to a CD or EP with an overall genre of breakbeat or electronic music of any sort. It's a little too quiet in some areas. It kind of goes in and out here and there. Consider making it one continuous loop, I think that would be appropriate. So, more instruments would be nice, and maybe adding more excitement to it would be better. One thing is that is very atmospheric (hopefully I'm using the right describing term there). The very end was a little weird. It was all calm and you suddenly brought in that weird sample. Strange and oddly unnecessary. It broke the peace. |
