I have been a fan of Steeloak since 2005. It´s always exciting to follow such an inspiring and talented artist, and see what his up to.
Brooklyn starts of with a nice beat, and goes on with the nice beat.
And then the nice beat continues...Then suddenly other sounds, carefully chosen, with the unique Steeloak feeling appears. Timing is excellent.
Towards the middle, the song turns into a relaxing, even more interesting tune.
The ending is great. Its like a big fresh deodorant of notes flying thrue the mist of tones.
Perhaps a more variated intro would be nice, and more of the Steeloak crazyness that i love.
Brooklyn is well produced overall. Sound quality is great. |

Greetings!
As you mentioned, this is short. Undoubtedly! I already figured by the beginning. Okay, the beginning was started off randomly. Maybe a longer introduction would have been better. I am liking the choice of sounds though! I'm not too sure about slowing it down randomly for that second. Seems a little silly and does ruin the mood a little for me.
However, it still sounds awesome! The beginning is kinda rough and gruff but towards the middle, we enter the whole chill out aspect of things! Totally awesome! Again, you did some crap to ruin the mood a little lol. Instead of slowing it down randomly, you kinda meshed stuff up for whatever reason. Afterwords, it sounded awesome for there on out!
The ending was good! Definitely quiet and gave off a good feeling to end with! Pros are nearly everything else. The only cons are those random screw ups I mentioned that you threw in there for whatever reason. Also, this was short. I hoped for something longer. But as you intended and mentioned, this is short so I won't let that impact anything! Good job!  |
