Greetings! You requested a review, and I accepted! 
First off, I do definitely hear some what you can call "retarded" sounds in the beginning. I will admit that they do go pretty well with the beat. Another thing, they same a little too loud. If you plan on having aggressive sounds like that, try to lower the dB on them. I don't know if that would make it better or not, just an idea.
I hear an awesome arrangement job when you drop the beat and bass for a few seconds. That sounded awesome! At that point, I was hoping the song would introduce a new piece of the melody and continue on from there with a House sound. It continued on, but it was some random dubstep. Not too sure I like the whole idea behind that kind of randomness. I don't understand why the random dubstep is so prevalent in some music. But, that's just a personal preference of mine! 
After that little dubstep piece, you drop everything again (awesome) and then you experiment with the sounds a little! Love the arrangement and overall structure used in that part! You then fire up the beat again and it's sounding good! I'm not really hearing much of a melody difference altogether. My guess is that that's intentional. I kinda hoped for a little more variety though.
At about 3/4 of the way, you change up the beat a little. I love your beat choices in these areas! The melody is much the same, but more glitched than before! I freakin' love that when producers have a solid melody going, and later on, they decide to glitch it up a little. That's only appropriate in IDM and music like this of course.
As we head towards the end, I still hear the song going on to doing its glitchy stuff. The outro was a little short I think. Regardless, it still was good and was a good way to end a track like this! Let's conclude this...
The pros are that this wasn't a bad song! Obviously it wasn't anything intended to sound great as you admitted, however it still was a pretty decent production nonetheless! The biggest pro was the arrangement! It really wasn't that bad! The beat and break arranging was good throughout and the whole glitchy atmosphere definitely gives off some good feelings of arrangement. The bass was pretty heavy! I enjoyed that as it definitely added an energetic factor to this!
Some cons to throw out there are that the melody didn't see many changes throughout. Sure you glitched it quite a bit towards the end, but other than that, I can't say I noticed much in terms of the melody. Also, the loud sounds weren't of my preference. Personally, I don't like dubstep for that reason and that reason only. This included sounds that were extremely similar to your typical dubstep sounds. But then again, that just goes for my personal opinions on music. Perhaps consider experimenting with the dB and volume of those loud sounds that are involved with the melody throughout. I think that would help it sound more pleasing IMO.
Overall, this was actually very creative! You admitted it was sort of a piece of crap (which I disagree with in a way) and you put it out here leaving me with a decent opinion on it. Perhaps this review wasn't of best information to you as I am better at boasting at Trance specifically, but I hope you understand my points! Good job! |
