Pretty straightforward dance/house remix that respects the original track and it's strengths. Greetings!
To start off, I hear some guitars. If it were Trance, I'd consider it a little too mainstream. But this is dance, so I can understand!  That was a rather quick intro, we jump into full fledged beats and some vocals come. Sounds like you're remixing a U2 song! The vocals and guitars sound somewhat similar.
All is sounding well so far. Your spin on the melody mixed in with the original song (vocals, guitars, and whatever else) sounds great! In other words, awesome arrangement! I will say the song you are remixing sounds rather mainstream. Maybe too mainstream for me. That's just me though. Your part sounds awesome though!
One thing I notice throughout so far is the quantity of breakdowns so far. This is a little disappointing. I was hoping we could keep the vocals and guitars going along with a danceable beat. I mean, this is considered a dance track, correct? You do bring the beat back in the breakdowns are somewhat quick, so I can't really complain. Awesome sound though!
The outro was alright, It was a bit of a fast ending but still good! Some pros are that the arrangement and mixing were great! Hopefully that says enough. Some cons are maybe the quantity of breakdowns could be reduced. Keep a beat going. That's what makes it more entertaining and less tiring IMO. Also, perhaps a longer song would be good as well. But then again, you remixed a mainstream Rock / Pop song, so I shouldn't expect some 10 minute remix.  |
