This was meant to be a background song for an animation "Megamiasto przyszlosci" ("Megacity of future") made by a group Nicram Graphics. Though the project is still far from being finished so I decided to release this song independently. I'll just write another song for the project.
Enjoy! Hope that I catched the atmosphere of a city on water. |

Very profressional atmosphere, great sounds, and all. Another stand out is the beat. It maintains a fun kick to it while not going overboard i.e. being too loud, overpowering, etc. Its a rather technolike and breakbeatlike beat if you will. Nice structure on the beat. This all with the atmospheric sound of "a city on water" is great and puts off good feelings imo. Reading You're descirption, I belive youve acomplsuhed what you were aiming for.
Atmosphere: A well deserved 10
Bass / beat: +10
Creativity: 8.5-9 somewhere
feeling & melody: a defanite 10
samples,skills,sound,strucutre &Quality: A 7.5
A solid 9.0 (9.2 to be exact ) |

Greetings DDspeed!
This one starts off quiet and peaceful while maintaining to sound cool! The electro sounds got me hooked instantly! When the bass, etc. hit they all sound awesome! This is creating a wonderful melody all around! Another theme of this would be the atmosphere. The atmosphere this song gives off is some sort of late 90s IT song that might have been used in an indie video game. That's just how I view it!
So, this sounds very nostalgic. At about half way through the song, the song begins to progress a little. It gets a little more aggressive and is still maintaining to keep its cool! As I listen on, I continue to hear everything from a great melody to it giving off an awesome feeling, however I am noticing a little bit of repetitiveness. The song keeps it peace and cool electro atmosphere, but is a little on the repetitive side.
Some pros to through out there are that this entire song is a trip through space! With it's hardcore electro-ness and well fitting samples, this is one that will give off a good "spacey" and futuristic feeling.
As for cons, there is only one minor one. As I mentioned, the song does get a bit repetitive later on. Add some more sounds and experiment! That would make it a little more interesting than it already is. |

You have a new review!
great electro sequence intro. Gives the feeling of being submerged to go to that city u talk about. The drumz samplez are very gewd in my opinion, and I think Ethelion is right, as all the instruments fit together. Soon u add a bassline and some pads in the background, with some strings. Great creativity, but I think u should also have some more sfxes before the transition at 1.19. the new drumline is very kewl, and so is the soundscape... At 1.51 there is a technoish bridge but I don't understand why. Theis part needs a central melody towards the middle. the rest of the song sems a littel predictable.
How I would improve
1. add a few extra sfxes
2. explain the technoish bas, waht's it doing there |

COMPOSITION : The structure of the song
Nice and varied composition, with many good breaks, slow-ups and pauses. The composition of the track has been layed out just like a journey, where the listeners take an active part in their imagination. I like the way you have managed to make the song sound everchanging.
MASTERING : The quality of production
Almost perfect mastering in this track, and the only thing I could really point out as a flaw would be the volume on the drums. They stick out just a little too much compared to the overall mix. String-backgrounds and lead-melodies are perfectly balanced and have a very nice stereo-spread.
INSTRUMENTS : The selection of instruments
All the instruments in this song fit well together, and some of them (like the acid-synth that comes in around 1:52) really raise the song to another level. I really like this instrument-setting, great work!
RHYTHM : Percussions and drums
Percussions and drums sound really good, and fit the moods and melodies good. The volume on the drums (bassdrum, and especially snare) is too loud, and should be lowered a little bit. Otherwise, the rhythm really sound pro, and some of the percussions and hi-hats impress me immensly. I love the break that starts at 2:23. I could even imagine using some sub-space basses here, but now I am letting my imagination take hold..
CREATIVITY : Variations and melodies
My favorite part, as the melodies in this tune absolutely convinced me. They vary enough, and you never take them too far, so the soundscape remains clean and organized. I love your work on the background synths and strings, they lay the perfect mood for an aquatic setting. The acid-synth I described earlier adds a lot of power to this song.
MOODS : The feeling of the song
I sense several moods here, and they all work together, creating a nice and flowing feel of the track. I would suggest using some effects to muddy-up the sound a bit, since the overall sound is very clear and open now, creating more of an "over the sea" feel. I don't think the sound should be so open under water, but more muddy and close up with more distant effects.. but then again, the theme is about a city OVER the sea, so I guess it depends on the viewpoint.
QUALITY : The quality of the instruments and samples
Excellent quality on everything. I can honestly say that I like every instrument in this song.
REMARKS : Additional comments
I would suggest that you expand a bit on the acid-synth-theme I have mentioned, and maybe add some more trancy elements to a certain part of the song, but this would be something you would have to experiment on. After all, the soundscape is already close to perfect.
IN SHORT : Overall impression of the song
A great, theme-based song, with enough variations and breaks to make me wish that the song would never end. A playlist favorite!

This is the kind of track I wish I had the imagination to do... everything here is unique and creative, and fits wonderfully to the theme proposed. Has a busy bustling feel on top of dreamy exotic sound, it fits perfectly.
Starts out in typical DD style with a spacy electro sound, dynamic bass and clean percussion. I love the sound. Very clean sound and high quality as always, However this track reminds be a little bit too much of "Infinite", but as I compare them now you really have improved much in sound quality which I thought was very good to begin with. I believe I like this track more than "Infinite".
At 1:54 the big synth that comes in I think is a bit too overbearing. Has quite an echo and reverb on it, something about it just seems to big for my taste. At 2:38 I love the filtered and sliced pad that leads into a wonderful break at 3:30.
I think when the music comes back in I miss a little more variation. Maybe the percussion, which has been laid back and really cool so far, could really pick up and carry the song to the next level. Id like to hear more climax here, but that is just my opinion
Well this is a great track, I see it was released during my vacation in late December, so I guess thats how I missed it... but Im glad I came back for it. Great atmosphere, sound, creativity. |

A soft, yet pretty fast electronic song with a cool atmosphere. I remember I saw a nice clip on TV with a sea, a boat, bright blueish colours and dreamy atmosphere. This song might have a similar one. But on the other hand it does bring me back to some arcade games, it has something in it I instantly asociate with the Amiga times, maybe not technical-wise , but mood-wise.
Very good quality of the sound, especially on my speakers I can't say I'd guess it isn't pro . The digital soundscape is attractive and working great together, the strings in the background do a decent job and the dancey or trancey (me not good at that ) phat synths are a nice variation. My definitely favourite part is with the subtle synths starting at 1:20. Made fantastically.
So we got the mood and quality. What differs this song from my all time favourites, it isn't distinct enough to stay in my head. Here comes the abstract thing called "this something". Or maybe it's just because I didn't find the style unique and no main theme or chorus is here that might accompany my shaving time. Ok, you'll say it's ambient and it's not supposed to have a shaving-time melody - I'm not 100% sure what does the job in ambient music... I don't seem to find it here. It's quite like a very very pretty girl, whom I like but don't fall in love with.
The last paragraph was personal, so to leave a possibly full picture of this song I have to add it is worth a try, download and either you will fall in love or at least spend 5 minutes of your life in a very pleasant way. You always win. Take care. |

Starts out interesting, I like this melodic stuff. But it feels like the whole song didn't develope into something bigger... It feels like the most tension are concentrated at the very beginning. Although the song delivers a pretty full and nice melodic atmosphere, I miss some kind of defining lead.
Maybe it is a matter of taste, but I really don't like the sound that appears first at 01:52, it felt totally out of place; too hard for the otherwise very soft song... Otherwise the instrument selection are excellent.
Cool effects are added professionally. Stereo, and all the other technical stuff are handled perfectly. Overall; Well... Good stuff, man, enjoyed it |

Things I liked:
-Crisp Drums
-Melodic intro
-disto synth at 2:00
-overall melodies
Things I didn't like
-Structure of breakdown at 1:20. I don't know why...it just seemed unnecessary at that moment. That weak kick is a bit annoying in my opinion. But right after that, that nice fat synth comes in, so all is good.
Overall, this is very well produced track. I was in fact able to imagine such a city, so you succeeded. It's very will done. Zajebiscie zrobione. Melodie sa super, bity zajebiste....8.5 |
