This track has nice relaxing effect because of those nice pads and strings. The drums work very well and the breakbeat fits very well for ambientmusic. The piano is bright and it has nice melodyline.
The atmosphere is nice and this song makes me feel happy. Nice track you've made.... I like it! I'm waiting for your next releases. |

Really great relaxing song. The piano sounds very realistic and nice melody too. Pads and strings are very nice, fits toghether. Pure and clean kick and percussions.
The bass is very deep and relaxing too.
Progress is very good. And mastering is good too.
Hmm i check this flash movie too, was very cool.
And nothing to say more just exelent chill track.
And i hope you do more this kind of songs.

Its Really a great Tune. Wish I could do such nice Ambient. Its perfect for just Relaxing and chilling. Dreaming.....
The Sound is mixed perfectly and the Melody is great. Its a sound, so I have to say that I hate myself, that I make Hardstyle -> Destructive Music.

Review
I love Mandelief flash movie, and I must say this track perfectly fits (and enhance) its mood: when different arts melt together...
Anyway, let's judge this from an external and musical point of view.
I really liked this track for its simple deepness, for the evocative (yet predictable, as VP too noticed) theme and, last but not least, for the cleanest electro ambient sound. This song is really something....
The composition mantains the same musical structure throughout the six minutes; now, this should be a GREAT flaw, usually.
Nevertheless, something different happens with "summerdawn"... let's explain this particular feeling with an example taken from its title: dawn.
It's a slow process, dawn, right? I mean, it takes several and several minutes for the Sun to show up, with the sky slightly changing colour, while the basic of these phenomenon staying the same throughout the whole process.
Something similar happens here: it's like the background concept stays the same (and it's a wonderful background, I must admit), but the little details contribute to make this song something beautiful, not boring at all: the piano is absolutely simple, but got a great sound and some unforgettable notes; electro drums are sharp and well chosen (I loved them); pads are great, both grainy and smooth, and this dual way of sounding really made the whole backing part amazing.
Then.. what? At about 3:35 the Sun shows up. Sure, the drums, the piano, the pads are the same; but a cool synth solo kicks in and really added some power, some descriptive force to the global ambience...
Like in a natural dawn, when Sun shows up everything around stays almost the same, even if there's more light. But there still are orange, light azure melting with white and slight green...
I really loved this kind of musica, structure, with a basic idea developed in such great ways.
The result? Great, cause I never got bored even after many listenings...
Quailty is ok: basses never overhelm the rest, mix is well done with no element prevailing over the others, instruments are well chosen and synthesized (special merit mark to piano and pads).
Structure is solid, melodies are repetitive but overall really well thought.
No real flaws here, just a lack of advanced musical elements: but hey, no one is forced to compose complex orchestral 10 minutes operas.
And this is just an example of how ambient should be made.

This DO sound very good. The pads are awesome and the piano is SO realistic. I was going to give this one a 9 at first, but since this really isn't my cup of tea (and I think that you should be honest with your ratings) I can't give it more than a 8.5.
All of the sounds blend almost perfect. The bass, pads and piano fit perfectly together. If I were to find one thing that could be improved, it would maybe be the drums. The reverb on some of the drums do not sound perfect. The distorted flute like sound at 3:30 doesn't do it for me either.
Musically, this song is just not special enough for my taste. Too much like too much I've heard. But again, this is not the kind of music I usually listen to.

I just have to review this cause this is without a doubt the most touching song i heard on ctg.
Those pads ..... man that's just awesome , the chord progression and feeling , they have a great presence  . And the piano ofcourse , one of the most realistic sounding piano's i heard so far.
Honstly i could listen to this forever ! and everywhere , before i go to sleep , while i am going somewhere or whatever.
Those flute like synths @ 3:30 made me cry a little and like i said that's a huge achievement.
Everything works in this song and that's why i am gonna give it a 10 , i just can't find any flaws at all.
This is my new number one favorite song.
The first 10 i am gonna give and probably the only one for a while.

well... i was very interested listening this tune.. ![;]](pics/faces/wink_new.gif) i am fuccking in to this tune. because of its great arrangement , nicely done deep bass .
most of alll i like the atmosphere... its ambience... those strings or pads or wtf really do their job. soft & gorgeous pianos fits here perfectly.

it feels like i'm sittiing on the sea-shore and i can see the sun is falling or maybe rising.. awesome feeling

I cannot possibly image someone crying on this. Yes it all souds nice, but the all the melodies are just very predictable.
Also, the mix-down is quite poorly done, there are some nice instruments but due the bad volume balance some don't get the attention they deserve.
