I love that change of major to minor in 0:11.
The bass is really penetrating and it gives a great feeling to the music. What I donīt like too much is the beat you chose for the piece (sounds like 80īs).
1:48 - 2:02, I like the way you focus a bit on the beat. Iīd love that you change a little bit the beat, although I donīt know if it was your intention to have it like that.
I can associate the title with the music, the melodies give me hope somehow.
Sometimes I feel like very short arabic tunes (chromatic scale) within the piece. I love that, because sounds like weird, but then you change, amazing.
Here, the main points:
Creativity: You are changeable in melodies and harmonies , I love it. Very creative.
Sound: simply perfect, trying to make a piece out of "MIDI" sounds.
Well record and a good mixdown.
Feeling: achieve itīs target, it gives hope, definitely .
Carry on doing such a good job mate. |

This song starts out with a *very* rich chip-sound. Nice. after that there are some soundtrack style drums and the actual tune begins. The melody itself isn't one of my favorites but the overall sound is pretty good. Maybe a little too much "modern" reverb on the drums, it's not strictly chipstyle and it hurts the sound a bit. I do like the use of arpeggiated chords as a percussive device. That's always a winning technique. The part at 1:33 is an abrupt change and could have been helped by more interesting drumming or something like that. But the buildup into the outro that starts at 2:04 is well done. Some might find that part up to the end boring but I enjoyed it. And not that it matters now that this is an MP3 download, but there's cool stuff done with chip samples that sound like duty shifts but aren't. |
