So, I guess now it's time to release the first tracks from the new album which were so far only available in the mixed album which you can find out more about here.
Come with me (to the year 2005) is the chillout version of a vocal trance track that I planned but I put that one on hold for now. It's one of two title songs (the other one is 2004 - Summer of Emotions) for the album which are contrary to all other songs no remakes. You can expect some relaxing chillout melodies, warm and soft sounds, horns, pianos, strings, synths... everything you need for a little calm piece of ambient music
Hope you can enjoy it |

Hello N.D.! Nice to hear your soundings again .
I have chosen this track because of it's title. You know - new year is coming and I would like to listen to something chill-out'ish just to make some remembraces. OK - end of my shitty talk - let's move on to the review.
First of all I like the sounds used in this track - most of them sound pro, though I don't like the strings. They seem too artificial in some places... Many different instruments you got there sound soooooo good, so don't worry about those strings on higher frequencies at all . After all it's just my opinion - maybe others take them in other way. Again my shitty talk - I got to learn how to quit talking earlier, before I come to this point .
Let's skip now to the effects section. Not much to talk about here to be honest. You made quite good work within this side of your song. Much reeverb and delays on the background sounds while the foreground synths and instuments ar heard lound and clear. Nice job. Stop (before I get to the shitty talk point )!
Melodies... Hmmm... What can I say about those in here... They're not very innovational in my opinion. Not many variations, just typical (not to say tendentious) chill-out chords. Anyway nice to listen.
In the begining I mentioned that I will listen to your track to remembrace the passing year 2004. And you know what - I can do that easilly. And that's good - I suppose. If you wanted to grab someone's special attention with this track - I don't give you much chances, just because it's chill-out. It's good tio listen alone in home, when it's raining outside and you want to wind up a little or maybe point the passing day. All in all I like the track, yet it doesn't fill me with some special emotions or twitches. It's just nice to listen. That's why you got 7 from me. If you would add some more variations or maybe a vocal if you have such oportunity your mark would be, irrefutably, higher. Keep it up, as well as keep in you mind what I told you here (throw out the shitty stuff ). Have a cigarette maybe??
:baddass:
Cheers! |

First of all this track is not ambient. Is certainly chill out, and would work fine as an easy listening piece.
The intro is good, spiritual and kind of epic.
The elements are kind of usual but there's a very good programming and a neat composition. The track goes far away "telling its story" and i like this trip It's like a soundtrack for a documentary or for a film (why not?).
All in all, eventhough that's not really my style of music this is a very good track, trippy and atmospheric easy listening piece.
N.D. really has the skills of composing good music and that is something i can easily understand during listening that track.
Pretty emotional, pretty well produced, well balanced, that's a very good track!
Cheers mate |

Hey ND! I just realised that i havent reviewd you yet. So here i go!
Love those low pads! Makes me curious... The horn (or whatever it is) that joins is great idea. Although i think the sound of it is a bit to harsh compared with the rest. Another pad and the bass joins, and i gotta say i love the bassline! Theres just something soothing with it. The piano is bit dark imo. Sounds a bit lofi compared to the rest, a slight raise of the hi freq's would make it better.
The atmosphere youve created here is awsome. It almost makes me short of breath imo it kind of represents the title, Come With Me.
And so the beat joins too. And a very nice one i must say!
The horn sounds alot better here. I guess all it needed was some more backup
I like the way you add and remove instruments, it lets the song evolve kind of. And it doesnt get boring.
As for the melody its really great. I just love it, nothing more to say about that
At 2.30 theres another short brake. The "aww"ish sound wich is "delayed" into the brake is not that nice. Sounds a little out of tune imo.
The high notes (at 2.44 or so) of the horn (if it is the horn) is a little disturbing.
The high strings is beautiful! Gives it a little spice.
The root note change is perfect, just when the song is on the edge of getting boring you do this. A genious thing
The transition to the outro is a little sudden maybe... You could have brought the pads into the outro a bit to make it more smooth...
So basicly a awsome track wich will stay in my collection a looong time. Some minor flaws, but nothing much to talk about. And i will for sure dl your album if this is representable...

A strong "7" from me. Not excactly my style, but good work indeed.
About a year ago or so I also used a lot of piano, and that is what I love about this song, too. Good strings.
I'm definetly going to keep this track. I think everyone needs a little relaxing "softer" break from music. This is it. I love Moby and this reminded some of Moby's songs.
Keep up the good work!

N.D., you are truely on most underrated artists on CTG. You deserve so much more
This track is certainly one of your best productions ever. It has so much feeling, such emotional melodies. Brilliant...
The horns really carry the track and they somehow remind me of the ending of a war, when everybody is crying and sad. I get so much feelings when I hear your music...
Despite what everyone says about you, you will certainly be one of my alltime favorite artists. You don't know how unbelievably much I love your music man! Just needed to mention this...

Thanks for the review Chorome. I'm happy you enjoyed it even though it's not quite your style. And a comparison to Moby is more than flattering |
