Review this song! - Song Reviews (2):

Ok, i need to write a little review for this one cuz here we have a MASTERPIECE of the experimentalism! The only thing i can say for sure here is AWESOME!

The composition is amazing, very good intro part, maybe your best one, after that start a session with a lot of variations and effects, so much variations that this song need to be listen more that 100 times to understand everything.

The melody with the monotone violin and the break-beat drum sound great, maybe with a very commercial-experimentalism approach, maybe this is a good soundtrack for a strange tv-spot about a strange product...

Very cool effects and voices around the song, we can listen to voice of all kind, happy voices and sad voices, this make the track more crazy for sure...

Yeah Boxy, i have dinner with some fucking old people during the listend, you have got the point with the title!

Great work! This is a perfect score in my opinion.

I'm sure this will not appeal to every listener...it's one of those crazy experimental tracks with a load of stuff (craziness) happening. At times it's even funny to hear some of the 'old peeps' in there. I really like the variation on this, things panning left, right, some distorted drumsm crazy sfx, some varied drums (breaks), Reverbed, then dry, I mean this track has allot of cool variations.

It definitely falls a bit into the IDM genre just because of the variation. As far as the theme of the track (which is mainly old peoples)...it wasn't really that good for me to grasp and like. I would have personally kept the old people theme out and just gone for all the other things happening. Production-wise, I think you really threw the rules out the window...which I loved, I just love tracks that don't try to be like every other 25,000 other tracks...it sets it appart from the rest. I'm sure some will say that the structure is all wrong and that it probably sucks, but I feel like this is actually innovative as opposed to incorrect (imagine how many artists were told the techno sucked during the 80s?)...

The only thing I can say that the track needs is attention on effect processing and leveling. This style of composition (yet it really has no rules) can still benefit from the rules of leveling and effect processing. Lower some of the levels on the high items such as the distorted drums, add some subtle reverb for space and a redesign on the panning over all. At times it feels a bit off balance due to the panning.

But again, it appeals to me because I like tracks that are weird, so this is good.
