This is the ultimate Christmas cheese!  I used everything imaginable to make this sound right for the holidays and ended up using way to many instruments at the same time... again  But who cares! I used this entry to experiment with lots of things and tried to add lots of details and effects to spice it up a lil 
And to everyone who downloaded My Wish for Christmas I have to warn you that I used the same cheezy Santa vocals  ...but with a few tricks to make them more interesting  You'll see...
For now a MERRY CHRISTMAS and happy listening! Hope you have as much fun with it as I had producing it

Review
Gigi is my favourite and all time master, so I downloaded this immediately to see how you remixed one of his masterpieces.. then, the word "christmas" shows up...
Damn you had quite an outstanding idea by choosing this track cause of its wonderful, sweetest melodies and chords progression.
Since the choice of a good song is vital to a compo like this, you had just a great idea!!!
About the remix itself... well it's quite similar to the original, you even used that famous "on-off beat" bassline (found i.e. at 3:05), which didn't sound good to me.
I mean, a dance bassline in a christmas song? Not here sorry.. but this is just my taste.
Sounds are generally quite fitting, like the fluid synth playing the lead riff in the beginning and after the first break (which sounded wintry to me), or the flute after 1:35 (extra sweet).
Unluckly, the song seems to mix too many things: mellow instruments, a pop (yet orchstral in some points) drumline, and dance bass: the result is quite a mess to me. Don't misunderstand me, the song it's ok and well arranged, but didn't sound as a whole to me...
Mixing isn't the best (sometimes instruments stomp each other), with some loudest peaks with the bassline.
The result, so, is just "good": the potential of this theme has not been fully developed to me, since you used different (and fitting for this compo) instruments, but you didn't really add something, didn't really change the feeling this song had...

This is christmas...
Great feeling in this... but kind of the same as the original, wich i love 
The sound of the pads are a bit funky, you might have used a cleaner pad. Love the way you lured in the christmas song now and then. And i must admit i kind of stole the idea 
The chipmunk voices is a bit out there imo. You could have let those out.
Other than that this really brings a christmas feeling, really! (might be the "Have you been a good boy this year" voice )
Ver nice sounding overall! So... a good track !!

Yo! I just felt something like "I got to review some tracks" - so I entered the CTG Christmas Compo section and what did I saw? N.D.'s work - I thought - I gotta review this. And so here I am!
Firstly I must say that you have chosen a great track to review. I admire Gigi D'agostino for his work and the original "L'amours Toujours" is one of his best (if not) track. OK - that's enough of and intro. 
You got it done originally I must say. Hovewer it's a bit slow in my opinion. It's good that you left the original melody unchanged. It's the thing that makes it sound special.
Neat effects you got there! Santa especially but the crowd isn't bad either. Ah - and the toms in the begining are marvelous  . I just have to mention about those well known carols played beetween each part of your track! I mean "Rudolf the red nose reindeer" and so on. Not bad idea mate.
I must yet say that you have it nicely bouncung there. I can almost feel christmas coming. At least to the point when you try to mix santa. That's original but I don't like it to be honest. So concluding my speech I the song is amazing and dazzling in some strange way and, what's important, I like it. I think it's the best remix so far on the compo. It's original, no cheesy sounds from the original song and it's good! You made it. 8 for that. I know that the track is cheap and made for fun, but so do the others in christmass competition. This time, only for the compo, I give you that 8. Normally you would get 7 or less from me. Just wanted you to know.
