This is a old remix by me and a trance remix of the song ''Dusk Horizon'', composed by Alexander Brandon for the soundtrack of the game "Unreal".
The result is an Ambient/Trance song, i hope you like it.

You have a new review!
I will start by saying Alex Brandon is my fave tracker who makes game muzik.
Very xerxesish intro with the pads and sfx... now the 0.40 part with the noice seqs and the drum beatz... great!
The sound quality is great for MPT! How u do it? U have VSTs or somthing?
Well, I never played "Unreal", but I recognize what can be Storm and what can be Brandon. First of all the house drumbeat is Storm's idea, and it's great!
Great atmo, arrangement/structure, bass, drumz beat, creativity, feeling, melodiez, samplez, skillz, sound quality.
great song but could use improving man
ps Alexander Brandon use Scream Tracker? |

I thought the song had a very nice original sound til I seen it was a REMIX!!!! oh well still nice but credit goes to Alexander Brandon whoever that is.
I loved the unreal 'ha' feel of the song.. great atmosphere... great sound. Not sure how much credit to give to you... but you sure did a great job tracking it. I think this falls into techno more than trance but maybe I am wrong.
I think it goes on too long as well. ( Remember most mp3 players have a repeat button so dont feel the need to do it yourself ). Overall nice tune I liked it. |

I thought there would be a slower beat, but this fast one worked too. About the music... Yeah! Nice, nice! Great feel. The sound quality is good to be tracked, but I could hear the loops on the strings here and there, man
I think it could have been added more backup melodies, it sounds a bit empty right now. A nice lead melody on this song would make it into a 8-10 rating or something - who knows... |

Sounds like some trance what they produced like 7 years ago ( I remember some german cd's) ....
Anyway , I don;t think this is very impressive , the strings are nice , but since they are playing allready exsisiting melodies , I guess there aren't really extra or special stuff inserted ,
also , I noticed some bad volume enveloppes (or bad looped) ....
Anyway , The kick is very thin , and the kick also sounds a bit lo-fi to me , the bassline is very simple ....
So my question is ? What is really new in this remix ? I guess it lacks on many things , like originality , creativity , and sound quality , but still it is nice , enjoyable ... but not the best . |

I think it's to fast for a trancetrack. I know that it's imposible to make it slower and still make it sound good, but having it that fast doesn't sound any good in my ears. That soundtrack would fit more as DrumNBass than Trance. Anyway, the overall soundquality is exellent and really brings me nostalgiafeelings! Nice work! |

Oh this starts so nice! Strings and pads sounds so wonderful! Great athmosphere...
Maybe strings are bit too high octave... those left weird beep in my ears But i don´t know what else to say except this is great tune...
