This tune is very true to its ambient roots,as it makes you feel something when listening.
Your development of simple melodic phrases is what I find most interesting , it is almost classical in approach, ie very organic. You have let the melodies grow and blossom - they don`t feel overused at any point, which is quite an achievement!
The vocal is a great contrast and works well along with the pad sounds. Production wise it is excellent, and everything is very clear and balanced. One element I particularly like are the drums, which remind me of Enigma MCMXC A.D. , although after hearing this, I have to say I prefer Ambeam to ENIGMA!
All in all a great track, excellent work!

Lush intro - Love the pads. Hypnotic synth line. Progresses well. The Bjork vocals work well awash with effects, they almost sound like part of the pad backing. Good drum fills/breaks.
Love the end of the mid-eight. The track kicks back in well. Nice fade at the end.
Maybe a little heavy on the high end.
Great track. |

Whow, from the moment you start this track I know that you do the right thing with this song. Nice mysterious sound and a perfect atmosphere. The bass that comes in 1:00 is very nice: pretty origional but it doens't distract you from the other things in the song. The song is getting fuller and fuller with sound, I like it!
Vocals aren't very clear, can't really hear what she sings, but that doens't really matter in fact The atmosphere the vocals bring is perfect. I like the arp you put in de background, there are lots of layers in the song! I like the beat as well, good percussion en very calming rythm.
positive
Almost the whole song. I like the way you build up the song, and I think you did a really good job by using these sounds and samples. You almost 'feel' the song by it's good atmosphere. You also use enough layers to make the song 'full' enough to listen.
negative
Just some little things. I hoped that you put in some emotional break, with just a single pad/string en the vocal or something. I always like that kind of breaks. For the rest no real negative things,
It's just a very good track! Exactly the kind of music I like to listen! |

Really nice intro with the melody, whihc i really liked, even tho you repeat it alot it dorsnt get boring. Drums are alittle basic, but the fit this song and do the job nicely.
Really liked the way you brought in the vocals, really adds to the chillout and dreamy feels of this song, string in the background/pad are very nice.
Bass is nicely hidden in the track and subconciously keeps the tracks together, nice.
The intoroduction of a little guitar at 3:50 is very nice, i really like the variation and way you keep the song interesting.
The kinda break/breakdown at 4:50 is very nice, and when you bring everything back in ..awesome!
This track is full of emotion and feeling, and also has that feel of epic-ness(if there is such a word?)
Sound quality is excellent cant fault it at all
Outro is very nice, superb job your done with the track!
Keep up the excellent track man! |

Very good song . And of course, the voice of Bjork is really beautiful, but how can it not be...
If we are talking about the same Bjork (when listening to the voice I assume so) then this is more like a remix.. Calling it your own song with Bjork on it is.... Risky.. Assumed you don't have any business relations with Bjork whatsoever? Wouldn't do that again if I was you. Try to sing yourself or something.. Enough vocoders to cover it up if you can't sing . Of course, the result won't be as beautiful as this song currently is... But you can call the song entirely yours.. Since you have this much skills, I think you are in the position of having your own voices around you, or using your own, instead of cutting from other music compositions (still - I assume you don't have business relations with Bjork If so... May I be silenced for a while)
The structure is really ok. It builts up very nice. The quality is quite supreme.. Production is well done. You show great skills in composing..
Both feeling and melody are great. The samples you used sound almost perfect, apart of the bass. Which could be strengthened a bit in my ears, but it's not bad.... Good choice!
Summary: Good song.. Keep it up! Only next time try not to use voices from other songs without permission, since you better can call it a remix then. Nevertheless, it's nice to give it a try once with a professional voice . Now get your own one . Since.. The song is very nice.

feeling melody The mood of this song is very ethereal, calming and soothing, a bit haunting at the same time, far away, mysterious. The synth pads weave in and out throughout the song, dreamy.
bass beat Nice addition of the bass, the ryhthm of the song reminds me a bit of Enigma.
quality Production is well done, I would perhaps fatten up the bass around 2.41, it looses its depth in that part, not sure why. It seems to fade back into the mix a bit.
Beautiful song

Ok, time for me to write a review.
I like the intro, its dark, very mystical and deep. Good use of samples, they fit very well together, especially the pad (or reverb thingy?) that comes in and goes out a few times.
Main part. LOVELY vocals! Drumbeat is nice too. The melody keeps floating around in my brain, sorta. I like it.
Around 04:00 you have a very satisfying variation of chords. This is when i started to notice the bass (nothing bad with it, just that my mind was focusing on the melodies until now).
Ending is nice and calm.
This song really deserves a 10. It's simply perfect. Something you would hear on the commercial radio. XD

Had downloaded this a while ago and just came across it again. Marvelous track. Sure, the mixing could be better (hats are a little too loud, and the sound could be a lot clearer and more defined, with a tighter bottom end, too), but the ambience is great.
Love the bassline too.
Just unfortunate the sound is quite fatiguing due to the hihats. |

Hey AmBeam - I'd be careful if I was you. I added a remix that I'd done of Bjork's - "Show Me Forgiveness" from her Medulla album, and it was disallowed and removed by the powers above...
Nice tune though... might get round to writing a review in a bit... |
