And here goes my fourth review on CTG Music
I don't really listen to ambient much, but I can try to review this. Very large and great sound effects on the start. The piano sound is very nice. This reminds me of some middle-European forest in the morning, sun is about to rise and it's very foggy. Really nicely made with so many versatile sounds. The drums sound really great, and they fit in very nicely, but when the rhythm gets more active on 3:09 the good mood gets kind of wiped away. Those more easier drums would've been much better. Luckily they aren't on that much. Now at 4:30 they already fit in a bit better, maybe because I've already gotten used to them.
This song would've been good for relaxing if there hadn't been those too fast drums. The whole structure was okay, nothing to say about that and the sounds were near to perfect. A very good song! |

OK...
What a great pleasure to review this song.
Im gonna keep it short since not much is really needed to say.
The sounds and atmosphere is like soft honey.
Exellent use of effects to create the ambient feeling.
I love the use of base, drums and piano. It's all in a fantastic rythm: Drums changing to double tempo in a complex beat while other instruments keep to the same tempo creates a really nice flow.
Soundquality is as good as could be. Really crisp.
This jazzy ambient style is really rare, atleast here, and the reason for that is probably that it takes real skill, experience, and most of all tallent. And then im not just talking normal tallent, im talking REAL TALLENT. But then again, tallent is a word used for someone that looks promising for the future, and this artist has blossomed from bud to flower allready.
I don't know what to suggest improvement on really. I'd say just take this to the highest level you can and never stop developing and experimenting. I did not find any flaws at all.
It's sooo musical, so rythmic, so sweet sounding.
It's really fantastic!, and im not exaggerating in any way.
I will give this 9.5
To get a 10, you will have to make me either weep or laugh out loud in amazement (it happened once!).

Let's check it out ...
Structure
You start out slowly with some reversed hihats, nice work to get the attention. The jazzy bassline that comes in really surprised me, nice work! The beat had a good tempo, but sometimes it makes a speed change to double tempo... don't really like it in the style of the song. You really make this a weird song by changing fast parts and slow parts, but in this case it doens't bother me too much.
Instruments
Very nice FX samples in the beginning, and some beautifull pads that come in. I like the sound of that piano (.?) it really created a spooky atmosphere. The beat that comes by sounds good. The little bridge that comes in also work with some good reversed samples and pads. Nice trumpet I hear, yea you really know how to use sounds!
Sound
The melody of the piano-like is mysterious and cool, I also like the sounds of that jazzy bassline and the trumpet and vocal that jump in later. You did some good work, allthough it became a little boring near the end of the song.
The instruments you use are well balenced and very good of quality. The overall sounds of the song is good, but try to maintain the attention of the listener. Sometimes I think the music is a little too abstract and vague, but overall you made a damn good song |

Well, this is my first review and i can't think of better music to start on...
Mr.s has hit the nail on the head with this 1, sterling stuff. Sweet harmonies, smooth beats and slick production. Also the entire track is interesting which is an incredible, considering its over 6 mins long!
I really like the deep snare, in fact the overall sound is sooo sweet, very rich and deep, professional to the last as well.
Judging from this promo, the album is going to be something very special indeed, looking very much forward to its release later this year..
Great work man, keep it comin..

My english is not good, so sorry for the mistakes.
When i listened to your song for the first time i said "it's wonderful", when i listened second time i said"Oh, my god", and for the third time i didn't say anything just looked out of my head and cogitated. Then i saw the video and i was shocked again. Everything has a meaning in it and all the impressions are syncronised with the music. This is one of my favourite songs not just on this site, but all of the music i heard in my life. It has a perfect telling style. After hearing songs like that i see the world through a better spectacle. So, thanks for this perfect track. |

This is exactly what I will never make. This song can only be composed by a "gifted" artist. It's just PERFECT! I mean, of course, I would change some things, but... if I do it, it wouldn't be so good. Believe me. I was about to say that I would add some little reverb to those drums and change the panning because I've noticed the snare is a bit right panned, that there's a lack of catchy melodies or refrain, something to remember... bla, bla, bla. But sincerely, that would be a senseless blahness full of envy. I love this song, is just beautiful and creative. I'm green with envy. Congratulations mr.s you're a HUGE artist.

Ok, to start off; this is highly likly to get signed unless you already are. There is not one aspect about this track that I can label "flawed". Seriously. However, there is one thing that I can put my finger on, and that would be the mastering which might be just a little too loud. After a quick peek on this track in SoundForge I can see some softclipping here and there. But not really hearable for the common listener.
The intro is very atmospheric, giving me a sense of deep space.
That piano makes it still warm and cold at the same time. The atmosphere is really something that I personally like.
The addition of that contrabass gives it a odd crossing between deep space and jazzyness.
The first drum-part gives the more jazzy take-off a stepping stone when heading into the sky. Really neet way of making good contrast. And then that TB-303'ish thing enters, which I haven't heard alot lately in other music. However, Im a big fan of subtle usage of 303, so this is really nice I think.
Ah, trumpets! In combination with acustic bass, contrabass, acustic and jazzy drums and synthersizers, reminds me alot of Xploding Plastic. But this is probably the only track that has this uniqe mix of these components I've heard besides Xploding Plastix themselves.
Overrall, the progression throu the song is very interresting. First some deep space, then some simple jazz. Not simple as in bad, I don't like the abstract jazz which sometimes seems to be more random than music, so keeping within some bundaries like you do here makes it more comprehensive not only for me, but for more listeners aswell. Still, your simple jazz is by far more challanging than Britney Spears, if not way more interresting
Me like alot. Not Britney, but this song that is.
This is the second song here at CTG I ever have given a blank 10 - and it is well deserved!
Now, if you would excuse me, Im going to download some more Mr.S tracks now. |

godd intro effect really ambientish. so outaspace, so allien godd feeling. strange vocals in the background makes a really cool ambience. this is some godd shit.
what i like especially in this tune: is the real sounding bass and drums. and i can smell that there is a lot of self-devotion, while making them. this makes tune sounds especially godd. the piano sound is very real too. ineteresting high notes creat misterious atmosphere. every element just complements each other. is how it is. nothing to add, nothing to remove.
godd work.
i like u your works, i mean

First i would like to say, a brilliant track! Before i started listening to this i had xploding plastix on my playlist, and was listening to there alnums none stop, and i couldnt tell the difference between your track and thiers (maybe a little difference in sound quality perhaps).
Drums:
The drums are brilliant in this production, details and varied to the max and really keep the track driving.
Bass:
Nice and funky, gives the track alot of character, slots in the track nicely!
Rythm:
Well .. the whole track has huge amount of rymth the way in which each and every instruments blends with each other, giving a crazy jazzy DnB mix, brilliant.
Vocals:
Effects:
Lots of little sounds coming form here and there, add to the detail of this track keeping the listener lost in the sound.
Originality:
Well apart from the amasing 'Xploding Plastix' i havnt heard any of this genre/mix anywhere, so top marks for originality (its not like its easy tomake this style)
Sound Production:
Everything sounds clean and clear, only thing i thought could be changed was that every now and then there is al ittle bass distortion for a second or too, but nothing makor.
Overall:
A track the is as interesting as it is awe inspiring, brilliant composing, excellent! |

Interlude-beautiful one.Soundz r awesome-like from science-fiction movie.Piano reminds me littlebit "American Beauty" soundtrack.Why?I dont know.Maybe similar sounds of melodies.
Voices-nice background (when chorus incommin'-man U r influenced by Pat Metheny?)
