Well, what to say...
First of all, the melody is repeated a lot of times. But every main melody is separated form another by a little bit different pattern(s).
Secondly, why using the Impulse Tracker format instead of a ModTracker? The last one is the best format to create a chip tune.
Thirdly, too melodies are inserted into the song. If you had composed less melodies, perhaps it would have been better.
But, anyway, it's a nice song.

Interesting song :) Some sort of jazzy irish chip, it's a nice, soothing sound. Well, as soothing as chip gets ;) Nothing too catchy about the melodies or rythms here, but that's ok, somthing tells me it wasn't meant to be "edge of your seat" fare.

I must say I don't really listen to chipmusic, but I liked this one. I personaly would say you need a little more drumbeat to it. The one thing that gets me is the mixing, the sine bass needs more volume, I can't really hear it.

I also think you need to change the melody a bit, while the frantic 8th notes does add a certain musical feel to it, IMHO you should toss in a handful of longer note values just to keep things interesting.

Overall: 6.0 - nice :)

Cheers :martini:

p.s. glad to see there's another mpt fan out there! :bunny:

Ah, the usual good Nightbeat quality chiptune. Very nice melodies, yet I was expecting something more action-like music.

There's nothing too catchy or fancy stuff here, so it would fit into a game rather well, but as an individual piece of music, it doesn't offer enough musical content to keep the listener really listening the tune.

The "chorus" of the song was the only part I found very interesting and enjoyable, the other parts just seemed to lack the catchyness which I find the most important part in chiptunes.
There also seem to be a bit too much stuff going at 2:00-2:15... I think removing a few of the background sounds would've made the solo much more enjoyable.

Overall, this is a nice effort, and a must download for all Nightbeat and chiptune -lovers.
