Strangely melodic and short song. I do such stuff rather rarely, but there's a been a good opportunity and a nice idea for this one .
Dedicated to Magdalenka. |

[intro]
Very pleasant sound here, great electric piano sound. Calm and happy, interesting how the pauses get shorter and shorter. Sets an interesting and unique mood. The strings sound ok, but when the pads come in to back them up it's much nicer.
Begins to get a little repetitive but the atmosphere is building up and you can only expect something is about to change... nicely done.

There are some parts of this I love and some parts I really don't like. The percussion for example: really frickin nice. Constant movement, one of those things I just cant understand how a person can create on a PC. No noticeable repetition at all, just constant variation. Many little nuances, the percussion is more musical than any other aspect of the song. Also interesting how it and the bass seem to work off each other. This is all stuff you have done before, but for some reason this sounds exceptional.
The piano, however, sounds a little too tinny for my taste. Seems to have 0 reverb, which isn't a problem at all as it suits the song, but it leaves the sound very exposed and I just dont think it holds up. The lower notes sound ok, but the higher notes 1:39 just dont sound realistic. Sounds like you played octaves there too - something I used to do very often when I was using GM sounds to make the piano sound a bit more realistic - but it just doesnt hold up. Maybe it's not your fault the piano doesnt sound realistic, but there are better pianos available surely and for me it just ruins the tight sound of the piece. It's the most dramatic part of the melody but the sound lets it down.

Nice cooldown as the electric piano returns to the ftont and the variations in the bass work well to keep it interesting. Pads slowly creep up again to rebuild the atmosphere and the bass follows. Just as you think it's going to hit it goes silent again, reminding me a bit of the pauses in the introduction.

Piano, I've done said it. This time with some brass in the background, making it sound a bit mroe dramatic. Over quickly and the melody is taken over by the electric piano, making me suddenly realize that the electric piano and the actousic piano had been playing that melody at the same time, the whole time, right? Whatever it was, the combination of the sound didn't work IMO. Nice however as the electric piano rolls down and completely cools the mood back down.
Summary
Nice dynamic song, unique atmosphere, frickin awesome percussion, weak melody sound.
Now if I only had a clue what the title meant! |

Wow! Really nice stuff, its a bit jazzy and it really fits well in a movie I think. The drums are good and the bassline isnt bad too And its not a strange song hehe |
