Just a next part of Ambient Symphony, this is not the continuation, just the next part. Only for persistent ambient listeners .
Don't worry, this is the last part of AS series . But I'm a little confused, I'm adding this song right after the song like Mary Weldon - Broken, or Xerxes - Lo-fi beauty, don't know how it will be experienced for now.. Please don't be so hard on me, and just tell me how to improve this song, what to change etc...
Cheers |

This is really great! -- Very inspiring and progressive. I noticed that the harmonic progressions of the piece are repetitive in the beginning which gives a solid ground for the melody and various drum beats, but it seems with more emphasis harmonically you could make more emphasis while expanding the harmonic fabric of your production throughout your piece -- This is the Ambient Symphony --. I will have to go back and listen to the first part. Overall the production is great! Your production is mastered well, and as others have observed in other productions -- your sound is clear --. Great use of drumbeats. Something I noticed is the the use of all the different instruments. I found that the piano was a GREAT emphasis as the second phase of this production, there is great contrast between the pad and the piano, and the delay is great in aspect of how it's absorbed and blended with the atmosphere. -- I did find that your melodic change was interesting, it sounds more synthetic than anything else. A second part I really liked were the vocals, nice use of vocals with the pad synth. I will say GREAT work! -- from what I've observed you have a strength in the balance of your production instrumentally, as well as the different blends of the atmospheric timbre's. --- The end was really great as it reflected the beginning in a different way -- Cheers! |

I won't beat around the bush with stories about expectations (21 minute long, highly praised ambient piece???) and how I almost came in late for work because I didn't want to turn off my mp3-player when this was playing (but, but, it's the BEST part!!!)
So I'll get right on it.
If I'm going to sum this track up in one icon it would be
Mostly this is a very dreamy piece, it's concistency is incredible! Goes through 21 minutes with ease, it NEVER leaves the concept of being 'one song', not once! That's simply amazing.
It starts gently with dreamy pads, wobbly synths and a hint of a beat entering around 1:20 and moves on to be a, surprisingly, rythm-driven track along side the fantastic pads and detailed synth stabs & effects swirling around.
This tune makes me think of a journey through various folds of a vast ocean. The ocean is big, which must be why this works ALL the way from sweet beginning to beautiful end..
EVERYTHING is in place like it should be! You never get bored, there's always some kind of sweet variation going on to keep the interest up there. A new interpentation of a previously played melody with a slight twist.. A breakdown (at ca 7:00, the piano gives me the chills!!).. And it all takes off around 8:05, giving me even MORE chills!
It makes me think of a Banco De Gaia-moment I love from his Big Men Cry-album; The three last songs. That was Banco at his best, this is even better.
This track makes me want to give you a 10, but you get only 9,99 because you know what? I'm sure you can do even BETTER in the future, judging by how humble you were in the topic
Massive work, you should get paid for your music so you could do it all the time!! |

Hi..I have been wanting to listen to your tunes for a while..I still dont have the application to play OGG so I though I'd check out some of your stuff from last year in MP3..
Glad I did..this is pretty close to be a perfect Ambient track..
I like the different forms of percussion..]
the transisition around 7 mins is just gorgeous in sounds and melodies...
I am surprised that FL was capable of producing such warm pads..I am wondering if there was any post production to this or whether it was all done in FL>>
This has to be one of the best songs I have heard in this genre and at 21 mins is a brave and accomplished effort
Downloading is strongly recommended |

first off.. start downloading this song right away, i promise you its worth it. its an addictive trip into psychadelic ambient, and well.. it is without any doubt one of the supreme ambient tunes on CTG. (its nothing like the boring stuff i do.. its actually INTERESTING for 20 minutes!).
i'm not going to say anything about sound quality other than that it is perfect. i listened on top notch headphones and had a great time.
the drum programming in this tune is nothing short of outstanding. it's varied, it's addictive, it's progressive, it's aggressive and laidback at the same time... it's simply awesome! the drums are the driving force in this ambient symphony.. and that in itself is quite remarkable.
supporting the drums is an ocean of dreamy pads, sweeps and choral ambiance. it is there to provide balance, and to take some of the attention away from the percussion. very clever and effective programming.
so. without further ado.. press the play button, turn up the volume, and prepare to be amazed and entertained for 20 minutes. or 40. or 60.
kudos AmBeam! you are now officially an ambient superstar on CTG, and you have provided all of us ambienTG'ers a level of quality to reach for.
