Hummm.. I wondered what Norwegian beats were.. But seems I still don't have an answer..
This track here has a funny set of melodies which somehow remind me a lot of the Moogle theme song by Nobuo Uematsu..
Slight same vibe, especially in the beginning, but later on it gets more dramatic when the stringsection steps in..
The guitars are indeed very nice, they set an great mood to the track and the wheeping is just awesome.. It's the rest of the track that bothers me because it sounds too flat. No dynamics, no life.. The strings aren't flowing, the bass sounds kinda muddy and the beats.. well.. if this is Norwegian beats I suggest you seek something else because it has no life in it.. The kick is too weak and that bassdrum has conflicts with the bassline..
So.. on one hand there's an awesome guitar and a cool set of melodies.. While on the other hand a poor sound and weak samplechoice and sequencing.. It destroys a big part of the expression you managed to create with the melodies.. The guitar makes up for part of that but not all, I'm afraid.. |
