if there is anything I should be offended by, it's my own stupidity. I'm not offended at anything, I just realized that I should've, y'know, paused and thought for a sec before writing that.

That happens to me quite often, but I didn't think your post was stupid per se. I was just arguing in defense of my music taste and my right to enjoy some crappy pop songs.

Generally I agree with Cooth.

Although I have to say I don't know any of these singers (apart form Britney and Madonna, of course), which is a bit of a shame, since I am meant to become a record producer, so I SHOULD know my way around the business. :(

Nah, you can become famous without knowing them :) I guess it depends on how famous they are in your country. In Germany there's no way of missing those 4 singers if you turn on the radio once in a while. I guess I'd vote for Madonna since she at least had some songs the I've enjoyed... :)
