sound could be better N.D. more reverb, fill up the empty space in the sound.

Thanks, I'll check that out. But I'll have to do the sound quality issues somewhere else (i'm back in Mannheim for studying) since here I have a 5.1 system and it's difficult to find out how it sounds like (the reverb comes automatically through my room :D ). And headphones can be very tricky too.....

Yeah I like it ND
I think a stronger (and more "present") clap sample would have been good, but its your choise. :)
And... You cant include too many synths ;)
I think a lead vocal melody on this could be great. But its hard to get everything, at least for me. ;)

I'm currently working on my entry for the CD as well. I'm using Renoise and its quite new for me, but I think its a great program. Anyway, maybe I post a sample on my idea too... But I dont know... :)

i'm a pretty big sound quality freak i think, at least for my level and experience.

I tried to do something Gouryella style where you don't really have a catchy melody that you sing along with but that's still enjoyable... But as I said, still working on it and this time I'll take my time....
And yay, post it! I think we're all ancious to hear compilation stuff.... :bravo:

Ahh, I see... I agree, there must not be a catchy melody in order to be enjoying. I was in the same position as well with my song, but I included a piano tonight and I thought it just got better... Well who knows... :) I'm not sure what Mark wants, but I have a memory that he talked about -melodic- trance, and thats my style!

But as I said, still working on it and this time I'll take my time....

You have about two months so its not a big hurry, I hate being in a hurry with music...

Yeah, maybe later...

music that is posted on ctg will not have a very big chance to be on the cd!
Also if it is released on the net at all , the exclusive tracks are mos likely the ones that will be on the cd , only if you really are good and have a really good song there is a chance that you will be on the cd after all ... we'll see
whatever ......

If you look at the list, some of the songs are far from immaculate regarding this requirement. For instance Spring vs Summer, which is a even known song here at CTG, is eligible to the CD.

I have no strong opinion in this question, but... If the songs are only at CTG and the CD is made from CTG artists, I don't think if they are submitted here wouldn't matter. With other words, ND, your "samples" would not hurt at all. IMHO.
