We are very old... |
Great to see you posting here again... Too bad that usually happens after I tell you that CTGMusic still exists
This brings in mind my signature quote.
Why don't you visit CTG Music? Because it works that way too??? j/k

To be honest I dont really make any standalone music anymore, only for demoscene intros. I publish my works at pouet.net, where that kind of release belongs, so CTG is just a common chit chat place for me. When I come I just visit the forums. And each post requires a reCaptcha entry, which is kind of annoying, although I know it's essential... But I'll try to remember coming here next time I'm bored |

While we're at oldness... Out of curiousity I dug out my CD called "The first" containing some of my earliest works done in Fruity Loops 3.0 and FT2. It appeares I burned it in 2001, which means I've been making music for 11 years. Quite a lot of time - almost half of my life at this point.

Hehe, Same here.
I made my first tune in 1994. It was really crap though. Released my first tune to the public in 2003. This means I track longer than my age /2.
Nasty...

Lol! How would you consider yourselves old? The majority of people here are in their 20 and 30's and we are even ahead of our time by embracing the awesomeness of Electronic music YEARS before anybody else did.
Even being on of the original members of a place to share your music online is making you ahead of your time. A lot of young kids are using SoundCloud to promote their shitty Dubstep songs and we used this source to promote Trance, and a number of other genres of Electro years before they probably knew what the internet was. They only knew what Eminem and Metallica was.
So, being old is completely irreverent here. |

| It is pretty weird to think of myself as "old" because of having spent a while by now making music and on CTG, even though I'm only 20. |

It's not that I consider myself old, but I believe I'm already behind a transition point where childhood ends and adulthood begins. I guess it's the first time in life when you realize the passing of time. Whether I'm dealing with it properly is a totally different matter...
Song for today: Porcupine Tree - "Time Flies"
