Yes they are pretty uselessin your situation if you ask me Atlantis, I checked your stuff that you submitted on ctg , and that is something that can be sone with just only headphones hahahah !

Look Mark, I think that's what Mattjis meant with speaking "too direct".
I'm not sure if I interpret your reply right, but I for one think it sounds very much like "you suck, so why should your opinion bother me". I'm not saying this is was your actual message here, but what I'm saying is that people can very well that is what you meant, and in that case it's a pretty offensive thing to say to another person.
You do have your points, Mark. But your way of expressing them is simply put in a way that can leave an impression of you as a pretty ignorant guy (again - not saying that you are, I'm just stating my general impression here).
I mean.. you're not very humble in your replies. Your attitude is too hostile, so perhaps that's something to think about for your forthcoming replies - How to make good points without possibly offending people?
Sorry for the offtopic reply. Hopefully it won't get moderated. |

If you use speakers as monitors , it is usual to call them monitors , there isn't a big difefrence , except that monitors are made to be used as monitors , but if you can get a better or good result with just speakers (like I do) there is absolutely no need to get some more special stuff.
Especially all the bull shit about 24 bit , DAC blah blah and bloh bloh and all the expensive crap , completely useless , it all comes down to the final mixdown , which can be done with whatever quality (samples and tracks/channels , or rendered tracks in wav) ....
All my life I use basic but descent stuff to compose my music , if I just pay attention to the final mixdown and mastering usually it all sounds better then some guy using alot of hardware expensive monitors , amplifiers , equalziers , expensive soundcards etc ect .
After all almost none is composing HQ film music with 5.1 DTS and more crap like that here .
Bottom line : If you know how a good mastered tune (some pro good mastered tune for example) sounds trough your speakers (whatever you use) , and you can get exactly the same with your own production , or come very close it is more then enough to get the result ..... At least it works for me , and I use just basic stuff , more then basic even .
And to mr Randor , that is why I replied like I did , just beacause he is some audio addict , some hifi quality addict or whatever . I NEVER pretend like I am pro , because I am not , I never will be pro ..... and I never say that i am pro also .
I just reply like the way I do because I like to do that .... I can't stand people sayign things that aren't needed or an issue at all .
So I guess that clears something up

Sorry, I was offended by you attitude. I know some damn hifist's here ( just one I got these speakers I use now) and know also in music they tend to pay attention imho useless or insignificant issues... But what makes you better to say others what's significant what isn't ? I mean, if Atlantis think he needs and likes that stuff in his productions, that's ok. If you can't stand it, say it bit more humble way. |

Someone should add the option "Monitors" to this poll coz back then I didn't even know what they are or that they even existed And now I'm using them myself...

Complainig about reviews is sooooo 2004.

Well, my situation has changed too. Although I didn't get the monitors I told about in me previous reply I managed to save some money for AKG K271 Studio headphones which I use now. Besides I have an AIWA hi-fi instead of the Samsung and Sherion.
