Maybe we should have a collection of hosting sites somewhere for the new members who are looking for a place to upload their mp3s. Somewhere obvious, reachable from the main site... since it's the only major "flaw" that might scare new members of

IF you're good enough, you can get unlimited space at scene.org. Or you just buy your own server

How good do you have to be, exactly? I know Awesome has stuff there but surely you don't have to be a scene legend to get in?

I don't know exactly, but just fill in the apply form + 2 of your best tracks and upload it in a zip on their server... but you get reply in 3 days or 6 months... btw, they like source files
