Ok, it was a very good work... Now I'm think that I'm a drunkard asshole to not recognize how many fresh good trance tracks here So this mix is a veeery good promotion for these good artists. About technical blablas: Usually I have nothing bad feelings about the mixings, just one transition was a bit bad, I think it was between the third and the fourth track (I hope) where the harmonies of the two track were absolutely not fitting in themselves, IMO... But all my congratulations and thanx to compile this mix and offcourse I waiting for the forthcoming ones,too... Maybe someone should sent this stuff to some bigger netradio...I love to see some activites here at CTG...

How about putting some other trance-kinds in future mixes? It would be great for me to hear for example Goa there. I can make something up if it's possible for the track to be chosen for the mix. I don't like melodic stuff so much.

I love the variety of tunes you have selected here, but the mix itself could use some work. My advice would be to use your imagination to get the sound you want.
First off, I would have imported all the tracks into Cubase, where I would have balanced the volume on all the songs, so that the mix would sound more flowing and pro'. In Cubase you could also have used some effects if needed.
Volume balancing could also be done in a wave-editor.
Secondly, I would have imported all the tracks in playlist-order into Reason, where I would have made the transissions between the tracks, and fine-tuned the overall sound.
But then again, I have never created a mix... |
Yeah, cubase is very good for doing mixes, getting volumes tight and equal for mix downs. Nice idea Ethelion (right on the money here). Actually my friend did this when he mixed all of his songs down, got them all nice nice, then burned her out and starting sending cds to all the big labels... why not... got nothing to lose.
But hey... nice work still lads. Music is art, and art is subjective, and that's what makes it so much fun!
Really cool idea anyway to have a ctg mix...
Keep positive. And keep making it... |

I would love a techno or goa mix or something. I don't know though if it is going to be as good as this, since there aren't many producers in those genres/...
Have fun |
