i think the second you start asking yourself questions like that, you might as well find some hobby that dont require "creative thinking".

i guess it would depend on what type of track/style you were trying to put forward,
if you felt it would enhance your overall sound then yeah why not,
vocals and trance can sometimes be a big nono some like some dont ,

leads are boring.
melodys are boring.

Repetetive monoton rythems.

Ofcourse not, but imo, they are soo boring and it requires a very special sound or melody to impress me nowadays |

fashion, haha
Well, yeah, my belives is that melodys are fashion. Melodys belong to the pop world.
Hmm, pop and trance that is, they are acctually quiet even, almost the same. Just a difference in beat. A difference in BPM (if even so, sometimes not). Melodys are for the week. Melodys are lame... if I may say so.
Nothing gets me going as much as something that aint got no cheezy sound at all (as most trance have ). Just a stomping beat, and that deep (as you said) repetetive rythem.
Deep deep deep.
Cu´s this cheezy trance, havnt we all heard it before in some way? I just cant stop getting confused by all this melodys that all sound the same.
Is it ABBA? Is it Britney? Is is Dj Ötzi? Maybe even DJ Göbbels?
No, it´s all just cheeze.....
