Most recently the idea come that some year mix should be done containing top songs from the first year of ctg.
The idea is very good i think, we just need 2 things.
1.a guy who will mix this profesionaly
2.some 70mins of music (so that people can burn it on cds) 
I think people who know how to do this can voulaintir and then maybe they can be picked by a poll or something similar.
I dont like the idea that one guy is picking all the songs, neither i like the idea that songs are picked automaticly by picking top rated ones.
So my suggestion here is that the system is build where people can pick their favorites tunes and then after some 2 weeks (little time till new year) those songs which are picked as favorites by most artists are included in the mix.
So what do you think? |

by professionaly i ment "best as possible". But the mix should have no more then 1 or max. 2 trance songs it has to be done by songs from "all" genres, so this would be a real challenge for the one who would mix it. |

Ah, i see . Then i won´t mix anything, i ain´t so good at mixing other styles than trance  . Someone else, give a try... |

well the thing is, the idea is nice...
but after you said it has to be from all genres, the idea isn't that nice again..
it's almost impossible to mix together, orchestral, trance, breakbeat, hiphop, rock etc...
actually mixing together usually only works on 4/4 songs...
but for instance chillout can be mixed together because it doesn't have a beat...
breakbeat on the otherhand is a bitch to mix, i'm 100% sure there is no person in ctg who can mix that... well it could be "programmed together" but that would be boring (meaning they are all same bpm, and when the 1st song end the 2nd starts off right away)
then let's talk about mixing rock music.. ahh that won't happen 
you can play the songs one after another, but the point of mix goes away..

I believe in this case it's not just about a mix in general but to have a nice collection of the best CTG tracks from the last year. And I think this mix would be unusual but quite interesting. Trance tracks with "non-beat" intro and outro would of course be the best but I think most tracks here don't have that

| I think this is a great idea but I too dont see the possibility of a seamless mix of multiple genres.... so why not just do a trance mix? and then for other genres have a new chart.... top songs of 2003 that could be voted on just like you said.... but maybe pick one track from each genre, country, software, etc... |

don't go making any mix of rock and genres like that...
if you wanna make a mix then add 4/4 beat songs to it...
and make a chart top songs of 2003..
anyway the idea of voting, will probably make the chart look like the top songs chart is, since not everyone knows all the good songs.. if you are thinking of good trance songs you right away think the most popular ones..
