I some kinda like that you mix electronic music with an electric guitar.
You might have noticed that I am a friend of energy so I suggest to make the beat a little bit harder and use a bass that bounces more though.
Great idea to start this topic, too
I am currently working on a remix and it's supposed to be released on Mindlifting Records.
The problem is that the original song doesn't really have a melody so I made a lead of the notes from the progressive bass and I used the same notes to make the progressive bass.
The progressive bass should sound a bit more like Psytrance though.
The hihats suck, and someone said that the vocals are off beat.
At least I have a new kick that might make the track a little bit harder.
However, here is the full lenght version, but it's not a final yet so suggestions are welcome :)

Thanx for the tips, I will consider them ;)

Now your track: hihat is offbeat, is there a silence on the begining of sample? Sounds like that. And switch bass sounds little detuned and plays same note all the time. Instead, vocals seem to be almost fine, some tweaking here and there is needed, but offbeat issue is hihat ;)

How come you said there's no melody? There's nice one on vocals and you could make a little variation with a synthpad or sawlead ;)
Odd and bizarre text here

Thanks for your suggestions.
I should remove the phaser from the hats first.
Then I should use other hats as well.
The original song didn't really have a melody, at least not a full-on lead or something I am used to.
I some kinda made a melody of the notes that were supposed to be the bass.
I should also use another bass and add some variations indeed.
I liked the contrabass quite much, but I should use a full-on bass or something instead of a basic bass that has the same notes all the time.
And I was considering to add some kind of a gate to the vocals so that I can put them at another part of the song, but I dunno how to do that yet since it's been a long time that I edited vocals.

You're right. Originally I put preview out for few guys who were interested and they complain my silent mix (since I like to work with low levels and volume knob on 9 :P ), so I crushed it thru some other tracks mastering suite without tweaking. I will work with mix and put up plain export for a second opinion. In arrangement-wise I'm stuck, there's not enough to carry on as whole track but apart vocals&lyrics planned I have no clue what to do " more"...

Bah, who cares about a silent mix. ;) Those are the real gems. If you still use Reason, I know exactly what their mastering suite sounds like and it's not good. :) Sorry I can't help you with the arrangement.
Put an end to the loudness war. Don't limit or compress your mixdown until mastering; leave the master channel alone.

OK, first person to post here with a finished track will receive a master from me! It's about time I cleared my desk and it's just the initiative I need. Rest assured I have years of experience in mastering and will keep you work confidential.

Now, this is done a few weeks ago and im not sure if this is what you had in mind. But if you give it a go, and I like the mix, I'd like to have you mix and/or master the EP im currently working on. I think its gonna be a pretty good product when its done.

Wow, I could certainly do something about this. Hit me, I think I'm overdue for a challenge. Submission details are on my artist page.

I like it, but it sounds very lo-fi and poorly mixed. I'm probably not the right guy to chime in at this stage. :) The break at 1:20 sounded lovely, but Reason still sounds like a toy to me...I wonder if oversampling will make any difference, but you'll need some significant warming to get rid of that digital sound.
