i don't know if I'm allowed to talk about this on this site, but I've had enough searching for damn compressors that are useful to me. The one compressor thats the most useful to me costs a hell of a lot of money and I'm sick of searching for new compressors and stuff so could anyone help me with getting a t-racks 24? I jus can't help it anymore!! Im desperate!!

i don't think warez discussion is allowed or sensible here..
but where do you need a compressor?
t-racks is a mastering program, and it's a standalone, so you can only use it for the master.. and compressing the master isn't that nessasery, in my opinnion it's even very useless if you aren't 100% sure what you do..

a good compressing to master might make it a bit kicking if we are talking about 4/4 beat club material.. but it's also very easy to ruin the whole song..
compressing and limiting always takes away the dynamics, and personally i really hate flat sounding songs.. try using compressors with sound forge and cool edit for example and you'll see how the "audio graphic" will turn into a rectangle :)
..music comes from the heart and the mind..

eheh, i guess i was wrong, and I figured i shouldn't have asked that question because I knew it was probably against the rules, sorry about that... I guess compressing isn't always the way to go when mastering a song; i got a little ahead of myself there... Thanks for the advice tho and sorry for that post...

I think a98 is right in his post... But I have used compressor, even though I weren't aware of how it really worked. I guess testing is a good way to learn. If I never do anything with it, I would never learn it.

I know some good free VST-compressors. Do you use VST?
Someone should make fun out of you. Why don't you do it yourself?

Talking to me? :)

There's already a compressor in Renoise, guess I have to learn that one first before I switch to others, although I dont know now why I should switch in the first place.
