I find it all rather confusing, and i've only ever had one song get in the top 20, which, im not complaining about, it's just im not sure why! Im confused...
Maybe there should be an Uncharted Chart, so people can listen more to peoples work that isnt doing so well, and then decide for themselves whether or not it deserves to be uncharted..
Its all about making a name for yourself on here..
For instance, a song by Zepsi will instantly be downloaded, which, im not complaining about, because his music is absolutely brilliant and is deservedly so..
Basically what im saying is, maybe we should come up with some system whereby the unkown people we never hear about are given the chance to have an interview, explain what they do, etc...
Just a thought.. makes it more of a proper community here in my opinion..

I think the most important question here is "Why?".
Why should certain not known or not active member be interviewed?
Or why should his/her songs be promoted in some special way?
I think it is most fair as it is now when you get extra attention if you aswell show some extra attention from your side. Im sure if someone becomes active reviewers he will get reviews aswell in return and as result also his music will be promoted and charted.
So basicly people should make first step to become more visible.

Well, let's say we promote popular track. We also have promotion for non-reviewed tracks and tracks of active reviewers. There are charts for most downloaded and best rated tracks. Less popular but good tracks show up in CTG mixes once in a while and new songs also have their place on the front page. I don't think there's a point in promoting more and more stuff, otherwise promotion will be less and less significant. I know it's a shame that some tracks or artist don't get downloaded but with 5700 song submissions you just have to cut somewhere.
Oh, and about the new charts system... what else changed? Are ratings, reviews and downloads counted differently now? Just noticed some drops and rises and like Cooth I'm curious how it works now
