well it is stealing.. i atleast try not to use programs i can't afford, since for example if you have v-station i don't really see the point of having bass-station..
let's see how much astar's list costs in euros..
Spectrasonics Atmosphere = 370e
Spectrasonics Trilogy = 340e
Native Instruments Absynth (??? where do you need absynth when you have absynth 2!!??)
Native Instruments Absynth 2 = 269e
Native Instruments FM7 = 269e
Native Instruments Pro-53 = 185e
Novation Bass-Station = about 200e
Novation V-Station = about 250e
= about 1900e
that's a lot of money to steal
i personally have few illeagal progs, and i do feel bad about it, but i'm planning on buying them when i get money, when they have earned themselves..
anyway did you know that if you are wanting to get an official release you need to have done everything with leagal equipment? anyway cracked versions are pretty good to test software though, since demo version usually don't give the real picture.
and most softsynths today are very similar to each other...
for example
pro53, v-station, albino etc..
so i see it pretty silly when people are trying to get every program possible..
for instance with pro53 only you can make almost anything you can make with v-sation or albion or ..
there are atleast 2 very good free VSTis to make basses, you people just should try free synths out and not judge them because of their price or presets..
usually you just need to effect those freeware synths more since they tend not to have any effects in them. for example this synth "FreeAlpha" is VERY good for pads and it's totally free.. and doesn't even take cpu memory that much. you just have to tweak alittle. also you all know superwave p8, a bit heavy, but excellent, in this case too the presets in it don't really give any idea how good it really is..
and the list goes on..
