I´m recording in 96khz and 24 bit. For the release I dither the whole mix to 44khz and 16 bit.
That is sure the best thing to get perfect soundquality.
It´s going to be a very big hit!

First of all, exporting tunes in 48KHz, is just plain dumb. Nobody can hear the difference, and even if they can, it's just a dither in your sound.
In Reason, I work in 48KHz, only because I run with Asio 2.0, which doesn't allow anything else. Otherwise I always export in 44.1KHz. However I do record vocals in 96KHz, when I want to edit them extensively, to give better resolution for the modification.

That's true, and I have the hardware for it but my computer can't keep up.
