There you go, an old-schoolish electronic/game piece.
Anyways, my nick has changed from Crimson King to Ceekayed. That's because of various reasons, one of them being that I ain't no King.
Cheers.

I have to say... Ceekayed is a very strange name, Im not even sure how to pronounce it. What does it mean?
Also it looks similiar to "geek", which would not describe your style of music at all. I thought CK was a great name.
Just my opinion

Yeah to some point i agree with obscene about new name.
There are many artists with similar names also in real scene: KayCee, TeeKay even CeeKay ....
Crimson King sounds much more original |

Well, I got tired of people asking if I listened King Crimson and stupid jokes about that, as my nick had nothing to do with King Crimson. The only conclusion I saw was to still remain as CK, but change my nick anyhow.
And Ceekayed... well, it just seemed good. It's pronounced like Decayed, but with a double-e.
Anyways, you like it or not, it'll stay.
Oh, and Ceekayed means nothing.

obScene: your nick doesn't describe your music either.
Ceekayed: aaaawwww I loved your previous nick! Sounded very fantasy-like. But this one is cool as well.
Hmmm maybe I will change my nick some day too? how long can you use one and not get bored?

I always thought about changing my crappy nick. But I don't think I'll do it. Everyone who knows me in the scene knows me for this nick. And as the contact between people in the scene is purely through forums and messages, the nick, as a visual representation, becomes a part of the identity of a person in the scene. I mean, when I saw the name "Crimson King", I associated it with the person and his characteristics. When I see "Ceekayed", I associate it with nothing. As the visual representation of the same person is differente, and it was the chief thing by which I identified him, this person doesn't feel as the same person. Ok, that was comoplicated, but I think you get it. If Cooth changed his nick tomorrow, when I saw a post by him, I wouldn't make all the associations I make in my brain when I see the name "Cooth".

Yes, I know. Sometimes it's for good... like when you start to mess around and you want to "start over". But sometimes it's quite appealing to make some change, create a new identity. Like in RPG games, building a character is an important and fun part of the game.
I agree with you though. I don't think I will change my nick in the nearest future, especially since I like it. But still, theoretically speaking - it might be a bit refreshing to change a nickname.

I dont dare to think of what people associate Kricke with... |

I would love to do some dark ambient stuff, lots of distortion etc that would fit my name better... I love this kind of music.
But unfortunately every time I start something like this it turns around

My name is exactly what music I write.
Uhm,
well, uhm.. not really.
Someone should make fun out of you. Why don't you do it yourself? |
