For those who dont know, modulez is a place similiar to CTG which also hosts tracks on the scenesp server. Occasionally the server goes down usually on Monday mornings, but today seems different.
The modulez directory (usually ftp.scenesp.org/pub/modulez) is completely gone. This directory contained many hundreds maybe thousands of songs from artist here at CTG like Storm, PPH, Kricke, and myself. These files seem to have completely vanished.
If anyone knows whats going on I would LOVE to know

Maybe you have to check modulez main page, but I'm sure you have done this already. It would be a shame if they're gone, they had a great place for artists who needed webspace for their songs

DON'T WORRIED OBSCENE!!!
I have used ever modulez for hosting my songs i alredy know this problem, you must know that sometime Modulez host go down maybe for some update or something like this but it come back online ever after 1 hour or more...
Your file are ever in that space you must only whait.

No this time I'm afraid its big. From modulez:
MODULEZ FTP IS DOWN
SCENESP.org (the server where modulez ftp is) has received an email from "Asociación Fonográfica y Videográfica Española (AFYVE)" (afyve.com), an spanish association for music and video rights. They say that 4 tunes are copyright protected or have appeared on commercial products, so it's illegal to have them on th ftp.
We have mailed the authors to know if they are members of any association or their tunes have had any commercial purpose, and Sole (admin of modulez) has sent a mail back to them explaining the non-profit purpose of the site, and asking them to explain the things they say about the tunes (one of the files which appeared on the list is hers, and is not copyrighted.. 
From now on, until this affair is solved, SCENESP.org has closen the ftp. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Let's keep the scene as free as it has always been

if you need hosting for a track, i can do that allthough it would have to be from the host http://www.hybrid-factor.co.uk |

Same thing I'm doing, find more space. Im gonna temporarily upload my new song to my Angelfire space which won't last for long because of bandwidth limitations. I just got an application for scene.org to fill out. Other than that we can only hope they get this issue straightened out quick.
I guess its nice of the modulez staff to inquire about the tracks in question, but I kind of wish they would just delete that persons directory and open back up for the rest of us.

That's a very rash desicion on Scenesp's behalf. Modarchive has fallen under similar issues but due to the user having uploaded the song, ModArchive was not held liable, and as far as I know have not removed any of their archived music since its existance. If there's a real concern the files should have been removed without taking down the ftp and a terms of use should be created making it clear that Scenesp is not responsible for copyright infringement due to user neglect.
I think there's more to this that what the public at large has been told.
