Just thought i should tell you about http://www.patcharena.com if you're interested in some good patches for your software or hardware synths. If you're like me; too lazy to make synths from scratch, this is a good place to start
If this website has been mentioned before, just tell me where to find the nearest guillotine.

I find patcharena to have better patches than kvr-vst actually. The only downside about it is the fact that you need to register (which is free ofcourse)
Oh, Just noticed you need to register at kvr-vst aswell

it's much more liberating to learn how to use your synth yourself, the feeling when you try and try and tweak and tweak and a killer sound comes is so good. expecially when you know You did it and nobody else has that sound..
ofcourse if you have tons of warez and move from synth to synth then you really don't have time to learn any, only presets...
and after that preach, back to topic, i think aswell that patcharena has better presets than kvr-vst, only that kvr has more wider selection of plugs..

Void Pointer: If that's the case, consider me dead.
A98: Sure it's more liberating to know how to program your own synths. But I found it much easier to learn to program them, simply by altering presets, and understanding what the different parameters did. |

I also think it's much more exciting to create your own presets. That's why I won't use this patch site much. It's funny though, that I still don't know much about most of the synths I use, though I use the same synths almost in my every song...
I think it would be great to buy some powerful midi controller, so I can asign the controller's knobs to synth's parameters and thus it can give me the impression of working with hardware synth...
Anywa this site looks interesting somehow... I will check it out later.
