monoton techno for me is something repeating a single "hook" (nice percussion line perhaps or some groovy sound etc) so long that it comes even hypnotic.. then a break comes and when it goes back on, something clicks to it's right place..

nah, I dont agree on that, techno is repetitive, but surely not boring.
