I have to fight my one year old from banging on the keyboard while Im trying to record. Usually when I am recording a part I have my right foot holding him down to the floor ( no joke ).

what about proffesional software-studio then??
i'm pretty excited, i'm going to buy myself brand new studiomonitors and a new badass
(relativity speaking ) soundcard.
hopefully this will help me get better and more proffesional sounding.
<<< have you ever thought about what this smiley actually is doing?? |

well I guess my setup can be called 'home-studio' I can produce pretty quality sound and there's some hardware too... professional studio is pretty strong impression, and I wouldn't call my setup professional... but depends how you look at it I'm building my studio pretty slowly but hopefully someday it becomes professional.

You're just afraid he'll be better at this than you!

Acutally I recorded him playing a few weeks ago, thought about opening a new account for him but I never did. Maybe I should?

About my 'studio'.
I have only my computer with loads of mostly free software. As speakers I use an AIWA mini hi-fi set. IT's good for listening, has nice bass if you sit in a certain place in my room (bass-reflex) and almost everything sounds good on it. But during producing it's really bad when everything sounds good . When I was getting to know these speakers I made several mastering mistakes (that's why so many people complained on "Closed Eyes"), so some day I'll have to buy something different.
Among other hardware I have a 20 year old Unitra (old polish company) mocrophone and FATAR 5 octave MIDI controller with pitch knob mod knob, pedal controller, dynamic keyboard and aftertouch.
Have You ever been...?

My studio is a cosy (albeit quite messy) little living room with a large office desk in the corner, on which there are some synthesizers and a pc. Spread around in the room are some guitars, flutes etc, none of which I am very proficient at playing, and my monitoring system is a regular hi-fi stereo system.
I guess that pretty much sums it up.
(oh, and I've got one of them old early-80's electronic organs standing in my bedroom, in case The Monster of Inspiration, which lives in my closet btw, decides to step out and pay me a visit.) |
