Somebody needs to give today's tracking scene a major wake-up call, but since no one else seems to be doing it, it'll just have to be me. Hence, The Novus Revolution. Click. Read. Think. It just might change how you participate in the scene.

Why send money like you say novus... first of all the people who start these archives should set their goals straight for it is nearly impossible to make a living out of a tracker scene related site... and the fact that they host our downloads or help us getting heard doesn't mean they should get paid. Also if the sites really wanted to make some money out of it eventually then they should all really think about some other marketing strategy because the way it is now it just won't work... Make up a goal-list and think before you act. As you said the scene is different these days..
You also tell us to pay a bit of money to those who made impulse... which initially started because of their love for music not for the money... so why pay them when you can do what they made program was made for... music!
There is no better way to express your gratitude to the creators than to make music with their software because you think it is the best for you personally...
Again, as you sadi the scene is different these days....
For example: the artists are a lot more self supporting compared to the old days. They don't need to have sites that host their downloads since most of the artists are able to host their own. Archives and communty sites are considered as a bonus these days and nothing more. And if they really want to get heard they make sure they will be heard on their own not with help of some scene site which could be gone any day.

The time has come... for a tracking revolution.
Oh man, you don't think you are tkaking it kinda serious. For me the sceen has always been about home made music and a lot of fun. Does it matter which tracker or program you use? Well, maybe I'm wrong?

Well, Novus, I'm affraid your manifesto is pretty and goodwilling...bollocks  Yup, I was there, in time of BBS, Dr. Awesome ( been in same parties 3 times). We certainly NOT live in -93, don't know where you live..... Tracking itself, like you and me know it, will die. It steps side from away of better, easier softs. Sceners, old farts like me are realized this a way back, and new ones knows it already. Sites you ment there...some of them might collapse, in long run ALL of them will die...and more new, better sites will be instead, by eager, skillful sceners who has honest aims (like mysterium has, and you ). look back those 15 years, how many institutions there is left from old C64 or Amiga? Renewation is part of natural progress, you can't create anything more stable using monetarian, capitalistic principles. 'Scene' itself is anarchistic, selfcontrolling creature. Pretty hardly controlled....or what...?
Anyway, I wish you good luck. Making this manifesto shows you're thought this, and you're worried about it, Also I'm ready confess I was wrong, if things move to that direction, although I don't believe it at the moment

Welll , I understand Randor .. but not some things of what he say ...
I mean , I am still tracking  Tracking will live , along with new ways to produce music ....
Also , all sites will come and go ... I agree it is something "natural" .
We just keep it online as long as possible (off course)
The reason I started laughing , is that Novus is just telling what he thinks , and what he says is more wrong than right ..... and soudns too negative ...
It just sounds like 1 big joke , and when I say those pay thingies and the site .... wel ... HAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAH!
Keep The Scene Alive ..... As long as we will do that , it will not die !
