Hey again people, as promised, this is a definite non-agressional topic (unless you ppl make it otherwise haha) , Im just curious, what is the weirdest thing to inspire you to name a song?

Well, just about everything, my surrounding (for example I see something written on a pen, I use it as title with some modifications )...
"Tai Chi Kong" came from a friend of mine, he joined some martial arts thing; Tai Chi Kong
"Warrior" was more logical, I had disted FX which sounded like someone saying Warrior
and I have loads more examples, really

My first album was named "The First". Guess why
Back to the topic. One of my titles ("Personal Journey") was inspired by Johnny Wlaker's commercials from Discovery Channel. That's one of weirder things.
One day my brother found some weird insect in his bed. Ho slept in my room for next two weeks . I wrote "Arahnophobia" then.
I once completely didn't have any inspiration for a title. So I took a randow word from a random page of an english dictionary. I named the song "Dry".
My 24th song ever was named "No 24"
My polish teacher is named Cymerys. My friend once came up with idea that when doing ums ums ums with your mouth you can intertwin cymerys into it and it will fit great the whole rhythm. That's how a stupid song "Ums ums umsymerys" was created.
I also made a song named "Jolly Jumper", but I think no comment is rtequired here. The same is with my song "Fasttrack".
But there are also some mysteries. I mean I don't remember what inspired me to name a song "Acid Amok", "No title", "Through the moan", "Simple detune", "Heaven in Hell". Those are probably the most stupid and idiotic titles in my life

Hmm, the original version of The Kids are gone used an ejay sample which was called "KidsAreHome". The song turned out more dramatic/tragic/sad so I came up with that name
I guess that's the only weird song name story I can think of, the others were mostly inspired by the song itself (mood, feeling, atmosphere of the finished track) or by the vocals I used.

| When I was in the military we had lessions about different things. One of those things was nerve gas. They only scratched the surface on the subject though, so what we learnt was basically that if you were exposed to lethal nerve gas and couldn't escape you would 1) suffer from violent cramps for some time and 2) die. Quite simple and easy to comprehend. Anyway, the next time I had a week off I started thinking about that, and figured that nerve gas would in fact be a good concept for a piece of music. So i made this piece entitled Nervegass which consists of two parts; the lively first half and the rather calm second half - Cramps & Death. To add to the crampy feel I used the time signature of 29/8, and the speed was set to 200 bmp. It turned out to be quite a jolly piece of minimalistic music. |

Hahaah, ddspeed, I though I was the only one to ever do the dictionary thingie !
I made a speecore track ages ago, and wanted a hellish sounding name for it, so I flip open the dictionary and put my finger down (hoping to get something remotely aggressive under my limb) and presto, I happend to put my finger on the word "pandemonium"
One of my more normal song titles must be "Anna Roca" a love song dedicated to, yeah, you guessed it, my GF of course
Oh well, keep em coming, Im loving this !

Sometimes I sought inspiration in Nifflas' Song Title Generator, but I don't think I ever used the titles it generated. Oh, but it was my number 1 tool for OHCs

These days its easy for me to name songs, mainly because I always try and picture a situation or a mood, or a place that the song could be a backbone to.
But damn, in the early days, I would just pick out any word that would even remotely fit the song
