It was VERY easy for me to acheive good sound quality on fruit loops! I'm glad I switched! Now only if they had a better sequencer.... Oh yah, one thing i really hate tho is the automation, is there another way to automate vst's or do u have to friggin turn the knobs and while it's playing and record??

cool...what program did u switch from?

ther is an easier way to edit automation and control it more...just open the browser and click on current project>automation>(click on an automation you've already done here) right click on this automation and u can edit it with the pencil, brush tools etc etc. U can control all automation like this...its a lot easier and gives u a lot more control.

Better sequencer? What do u mean? U can play all kinda notes u want, u can bend notes, u can use 3 different colors for the notes Example: u can bend blue notes without bending yellow ones.
U ve gotta take a look to the manual. It explains everything.. also about automation (but Manvel told u exactly how u can do it).
The only problem I found with FL is that u cant automate (or i couldnt) some VST plugins knobs like NI Pro-52 and others. Another problem with FL is that when u wanna edit the automation for some VST knowbs u cant find them in the list that appears in "edit event". For example in LinPlug Albino I couldt automate manually the modulation matrix so i had to do it while it was recording and it was a pain in the ass.
I havent tried another program such as Cubase which i guess must b the most complete of all together with Emagic.

yes you can. everything that is pure FL can be automated easily just clicking right click and "edit events", then you can start drawing..
but everything external like softsynths you have to click the menu in up left of the softsynth window, and then "edit events" and choose what you want to automate.

everything that can't be automated in the plugin's "edit automation" window can't be automated in any other software either, they are stuff that aren't ment to be automated.

although i think everyone who owns a midikeyboard can automate anything live. in FL it's damn easy to assign knobs to your keyboard. just choose "link to controller" and then you turn the knob you want it to assign in your keyboard and it automaticly links to it.

oh and btw, there was a official FL topic already

i must add that with FL 4.5.2 (the latest version), you can just "touch" (turn a little) the knob you want to automate, then click on the plug symbol on the left upper corner of the wrapper and select "last tweaked parameter=>edit events". no more need to search for the right parameter in the list. ;)
