Ok, just a few words
My name is Andreas Engel, I'm 22, 80% male (according to that nice little test in my favourite Topic and I study computer science ( ) in Mannheim. On the weekends I'm usually at home in Frankfurt. I got 3 brothers, all older than me (25-31), one mother, and unfortunately no father anymore
Hmm, I got some hobbies which shouldn't surprise you so much. Music, computers, movies, girlfriend (just celebrated our 6 month anniversary) , vacation, and posting nonsense in certain Slovenian administrated music sites
So, the first community I've been active was Uptrax, though I've never been to the forums, just posted crappy eJay music Then there was The Digital Dream which unfortunately shut down after a few month when there was supposed to be a site update Anyway, that was the first time I got constructive critizism and I must say it hurt But somehow helped And that's what I'm trying to prove btw with my new Album, compare TDD times to CTG times Anyway, I had to find something new and came to CTG. At that time I was producing mainly trance music. But here people seemed to enjoy my Ambient/Chillout/Electro stuff more and so did I. So I've been putting more effort in those project since then. There will still be trance tracks but I find it really hard to get them right I feel in the genres named above I have a lot more room for creativity coz there are no rules Ok, so much about my internet and musical background. As you can see I missed the entire tracking scene and never knew about TiS either... You can now start beating me for that
Here's some other little facts:
Fav. artists: Hans Zimmer, Randy Edelman, Moby, Paul Oakenfold...
- CTG artists: Xerxes, obScene, AKiSeY, Doriath, Ethelion, DDspeed, Virgill, CrazyMan, Awezoom...
Fav. food: Most Chinese stuff, pizza and pasta, tuna fish sandwich, Raclette...
Fav. Movies: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Falling Down, Forest Gump, Glory, Mission: Impossible 2, Face/Off, Aliens, Austin Powers, Kentucky Fried Movie, What lies beneath... (many many more... )
Fav. smileys:
Fav. Gifs:
Artist name origin: N. (=An) D. (=Dy) ....... N.D. = AnDy
Spam: Go here!
Fav. Series: Friends , Family Guy , The Simpsons...
Places I go: Ibiza, St. Moritz, Sylt, Spring Break, Hamburg
Things I don't like: Raisins (who started to eat those in the first place?), pickles, good-looking arrogant girls , people who don't know when to stop talking , Alpha Helix, Dieter Bohlen...
Things I do like: CTG, I'm Bored, watching soccer championships (we'll meet again 2006 ), driving fast (while carefully) , composing/producing/making music, humor, spamming, reviewing, downloading, commenting, sleeping ...
So, in the end here's some crappy pictures. One is taking this Spring Break at Daytona Beach and the other one at my cousin's birthday. You may guess which one is which (Oh, btw, I never posted this much information about myself on the net before... see what you guys did to me )

Ok here is what you all waited for hahaha !
The biggest bastard of CTG shows himself :
I started tracking back in the amiga days , and pause for a long time , until I found digitracker and soon after that fasttracker 1 for the pc.
Naturally I started tracking like everyone else with fasttracker 2 , and started to discover the online scene, which was a very big thing back in those days , internet connections weren't naturally like now , and stereo samples was only reality in my dreams ....
My first pc I used for "producing" was even a 286 with some pc speaker that could play louder then others , so I was able to do some 4 channel mod files.
Anyway .... it was a totally diferent time , but surely a time not to forget .
I started to get active on Trax In Space and released some of my stuff there , off course it sounded worse then a ringtone on your mobile , but anyway , it was a start .
I also started getting active in the Dream Wave Project, where I knew Ace from also ...
Together with Ace we started CTG , but CTG became something I didn't wanted , and also Ace did way too much compared with me .... so I left it .
With producing I am getting more and more succesfull together with my partner Jan Kalafut aka Trance Jax, we are workign together for quit some years now. I am getting and creating more and more contacts with big names in the music industry and support by some big names like Jonobir, Plastic Angel , Armin van Buurn , Markus Schulz and some more. I am managed by Elef Tsiroudis aka Plastic Angel from Afterglow records and waiting for the releases to come during/after summer 2004 .
I am also starting to dj seriously again after being inactive for some years, some serious gigs in morocco , The netherlands and uk are coming up ... I think you will hear some stuff from me on some online radios aswell sooner or later .
I am also A&R for some record label , but not sure if I will keep this up .
So that were some words from the biggest ass on CTG
|
Nice nice, i think your the most famous person on CTG right now
well glad your here, even if your a pain in the ass hehe
keep it cool.
