I like them a lot! Every Metal phreak know about D.T. and they're good, very good (though that the old albums are better)

I really loved the first and the second album of D.T. but I think the latest sucks, they have an incredible tecnhic but when I listen the last works I can't feel anything...

I have to partially disagree, since "Scenes from a memory" (1999) is one of the greatest album in Earth!
"The door has opened wide
I’m turning with the tide
Looking through her eyes"
Yeah, DT lyrics are great also.

Carry me to the shoreline
bury me in the sand
walk me across the water
and maybe you'll understand...
Once the stone you're crawling under
is lifted off your shoulders
Once the cloud that's raining
over your head disappears
the noise that you'll hear
is the crashing down
of hollow years.
Wonderful....
Ps. 9:18 live version from the latest "Live at Budokan" rules more. Amazing.

Why isn't there an option: I dont like metal so I dont know them?

Maybe because they don't make metal
Everyone should at least listen to various DT songs.. cause they don't really have a real single style: from slow ballads to hard rock uplifting tracks, to even (and most) weird progressive rock/melodic/talented compositions.
Give them a simple try:
Slow songs
Another Day
Hollow Years
Wait for sleep
Through her Eyes
Hard rock and more animated songs
Take the time
Pull me under
Prog/"Weird" songs!
Finally free
Endless sacrifice
Beyond this life

Well, DT goes every now and then, but I somehow like Symphonic X more if I want to listen progressive stuff.
CK on CTG (2427 hits)
CK on Modarchive (1708 hits)

I remeber when one of my friends recommended me this band and gave me a CD. He gave it saying: "Watch out for the vocalist, he sucks. Concentrate on the other stuff.". In Polish there is a difference between male and female nouns, so I was aware, that he was a guy.
I came back home and just put the CD into my player. I listened to the whole album and next day in school I ask my friend: "Hey, this girl singing was quite good, where's the guy that you said sucks so much?" . Really, I was absolutely sure the vocalist was a woman. He just sounded like one.
Anyway, I like Marillion much more when it comes to progressive, though their vocalist sucks too ever since Fish left the group in 1988.

Well, I really love vocalist work on the band. But I know it's not the strongest point in DT
Lluvia (Rain) (259 hits). |
