yeah, i don't know what's with all this genrethingy, but i simply love correcting newbies about what's trance and what's not trance... maby it is because most people where i live mix up trance (and even techno) with eurodance (or that is made by just pressing a button ect) and you feel just silly if you tell them you are listening to trance. you instanly get the answer "well, that's not music" and you simply get mad cause you know how wrong they are...
i think this is one reason why so many on the net cares about the electronica genres and this need to correct have spread to the net...
atleast, this is my case

oh i know exactly that feeling... everybody who dosent know is like "u listen to trance?? thats not music, theres no singing and its all made in like 5 min with ejay..."
and that makes me maaad! i'm all like " shut the f**k up, what do you know..."

so why can't the trance-techno crossover be made... I mean there is techtrance also  just in between

Ofcourse that can be done, and that's totally not my point.
I've seen loads of little noobs who put techno as genre, while it's cheesy trance, and that's what I hate

I think most people donīt know what theyīre producing these days,
and I donīt think most of them care about it either!
this is a disturbing sign that the scene is going towards a more
poporiented view upon music, and thats not good!
But thats just me, with my FT2 program, im a dinosaur here now.
