record it yourself. Its more fun and makes your sample authentic. Of course if you cant do this, just get a sample of at least one footstep. You should be able to do some work with pitch bend and filtering to get the right effect.

| You could also try nifflas' sounds. He got some nice Soundfonts and wavs. Just google him. |

LoL No, you're not going to find footstep sounds from me. But well, as the other guys said, record yourself And if neccecary, add some reverb.
Fortunately, my music is much more interesting than my posts. |

Waves has a doppler effect too if you want the sound to move through the stereo field, like disappearing into the distance or whatever. Could be pretty cool if it works in line with what you're trying to achieve.

Ehm. Surely the doppler-effect is great, but a guy running wouldn't create that result would it?

Well you can set the speed of the doppler effect to 'walking' or 'running' speed, and simulate the sound moving off into the distance, or going from left to right or whatever. I dunno, just an idea. I know the effect won't really be noticeable in real life, but I thought it might be worth a shot to see what kind of results you can get.
